Title: WOWOWOW Just handled a Leishy 2 Today
Post by: PasadenaMike on January 04, 2022, 11:45:51 PM
All I have to say about the Leishy 2 is WOW what a piece of engineering awesomeness. The gun is built like a tank just like the original Leishy I have. I can’t wait to get my hands on my own Leishy 2 some day.

The build quality is amazing but wait till you play with tuning one. Out of the box they are tuned for the shorter barrels but there is a lot of power to be had from that valve.

Hope you get one soon!

I love that it’s only a regulator to adjust. My kind of tuning

Not build like a tank, we had a first failure already with Leishy2.
Pilot valve opening stem broke and spares are not easily available.
Lets see how long it takes to get fixed.

And jets. There is a restrictor in the 177/22 valve that can be removed. Lots of fun stuff. But mainly yes, regulator.

Where do you get your spares, Marko? I ordered my Leshiy1 from Spain and it got here to me pretty fast. They seem like a better stocked dealer than EdgunWest.

We live next to russia so straight from the source. And at the moment that is the only way to get spares for the L2

That piece seems like it would be easy made. And the little ball can be replaced with a plastic bead from the hobby store.

That piece must take a beating during the disconnect part of the cycle. I can’t imagine just being pushed by trigger imparts much stress on it.

Not my gun, and it is new so it's manufacturing error or a design flaw and so it's not the owners problem. Manufacturer is obliged to fix the problem on a new gun.
As far as I know the parts have been shipped from Russia.
It has taken couple of months now.

Even the best manufacturers can have an oops.  Compare to FX back when they were sorting out their Impact growing pains...  And most manufacturers aren't going to drive their Landcruisers over their PCPs- twice!- between 50 meter shots at a target and experience no change in grouping.  Obviously that was with a Matador, which is monolithic non-folding airgun, but still- EdGuns are well-constructed and designed for use in the field, not sitting on a bench.

I'll take any EdGun over just about anything else.  We're going to hold off on our Leshiy 2s (His-n-Hers models) until after we finish the building on our property, but until then, we have our Leshiy Classic and Lelya 2.0.

I haven’t had an issue with any parts or otherwise with the 350/25 I got months ago. I’m be left the regulator at the factory setting, machines a longer barrel for  it and played with the jets until I got the tune I wanted. Best small game hunting rig I own, and it packs a real punch with 34 grain JSBs or 41 grain Hollow point BBT cast. It’s way too cold for PCP’s  this time of year up here so I have it in the cabinet until next hunting season.

I have the L2 in .30 cal and absolutely love it had it a few months as well and have over 1000rds though it with no issues. And yes it packs a punch I tuned it all the way up to 950fps with the 44.5gr pellets. Backed down to 850 for better shot count though.

Do you have the standard shroud ? And is it a 350? How loud is it ?

I am tickled to read there are others who HAVE to buy two. We enjoy his and her's .30 hammers for walkabouts and a .22 for less expensive practice and light pesting. The ergonomics are ideal for folks with physical issues where a longer/heavier rifle would be unsuitable. As noted earlier sling carry is comfortable, wth the option of being folded behind the back to defuse sheeple. Outside of loosing a couple of parts which I believe was due to "excessive operator head space" (mine, not my wife's) they have been rock solid.

I would like to emphasize that ergonomics aren't mentioned often however they are a key feature of the L2, especially for the aging and or spousal shorties who don't want to be confined to Prod carbines, etc. Not that one should ignore Crosmans, my Prod gets regular attention and I've finally contacted Tim about the LD that he and Larry tried to talk me into 24 years ago. They did talk me into an IZH46,  the last one Tim received, complete with miss matched grips and a case with one wonky latch which was not my style. "You're going to regret it if you don't buy it." They were correct and I should have picked up a LD at the time too. If any of this resonates and fits your budget a L2 may be for you, it's a sweetie and helps keep my sweetie happy. I'll add that she shoots like Ed and loves the combat trigger.  8)

Mine shot for one month before failing. I have six Edguns and this is the first failure. I was in the first 100 imported , but the fun wore out quickly. Have a stockpile of 30 caliber pellets. That’s all I have to say about it.

Running it with the extra plenum and now it doesn’t advance the magazine. Really not worthy on a semi-auto. I was surprised that it violated the warranty. So I put it in the box and refuse to look at it.

The magazine mechanics is pretty simple, should be easy to fix. Probably O ring or something simple.

I agree.

The very first thing to try is loosen the four barrel screws and make sure the barrel is as far forward as it can go. That tolerance is critical.
