Title: Beeman P19 & Old Eyes - Sight Recommendations?
Post by: mwgm2020 on January 04, 2022, 12:35:17 AM
I recently bought a Beeman P17 pistol and quickly discovered my eyes are not what they used to be.  I focus to see the sights unless I tip up my head to use the bifocal safety glasses, but then I can see the sights but not the target.

Any suggestions?  I don't want to spend a lot on sights for a $50 gun.

This is what I went with. It works great for my 53 year old eyes.

Feyachi RDS-22 Micro Red Dot Sight - 2 MOA Compact Red Dot Scope 1 x 22mm https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R7SHGJ6/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_5GGFMMX2X3M1GY9D20GV (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R7SHGJ6/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_5GGFMMX2X3M1GY9D20GV)

How does that work when cocking?  Funny, it costs almost as much as the gun.

It works fine for me. I mounted it a little forward so I had room to cock it. The run them on sale from time to time. I think I paid around $35 for mine.

I couldn't find a picture of mine so I took a screenshot from one of my YouTube videos. It works fine like this and doesn't inhibit cocking.

The centerpoint pistol scope holds up well on mine. It serves as a cocking handle yet hasn't budged.
