It's time for our Hall of Fame Inductee!!! The Person of the year 2021 is in our hands. I want to thank all the people who are on the list as they have been the backbone of our community all year and have been put on the list for their efforts here on the GTA. Much appreciation and respect to all of you.

That Bastarage isn't worthy... but very humbled with your comment.

Done did some time ago...
Pretty sad to see that less than 1% of the forum has voted; heck with less than a page of replies we've represented almost 10% of the entire voting membership!

I see it a different way. The best 1% voted. But on another note congratulations Jason!!!! I’ll be in contact with you tomorrow.

Some pretty good folks in that list up there. Success of a forum relies on the people in it. I’m relatively new here but see who partipates and brings conversation/help/etc. to the table.
Thanks to all those up there and congratulations Jason!
Dave

Congrats Jason..... well deserved.

BTW the winner does not even win a crappy tin of pellets ;) ... Or do they now ???

I thought I saw it posted that this year's win comes with some type of prize?
Maybe it was the 'creek water' had me seeing things.... ???

Yeah think some companys have been paying notice and contributing to this honor perhaps. Back in the day a pat on the back and the unity of the addiction was all that was needed , cool to see the added gratuities IMO
-
Congrats Jason.

Where/how does one cast one's vote?
-
It's a poll.
At the top you should be able to cast your vote.
Hope That Helps.

I saw somebody's lament about less 1% of the members vote. I wonder why that is?
-
Congrats Jason!
I would like to say thank you to all of the GTA nominates. Thank you for everything you do for GTA.

Probably wrong, someone double check me, but last I saw there were 99? votes. GTA has 20430 members so if I managed to do it right
it's actually something like 1/2 of 1% of the members who actually voted.
You'd have to go back and actually check prior years but I think it's been pretty much that way since it all started. Why? Not a clue and you'd
have to run a poll asking why members chose not to.
-
Membership does not equate to activity or participation.
Many folks join just to see what all the buzz is about.
Many join looking for specific information and once they find it, or don't, they're out.
Much of the traffic on the GTA, sadly, is in the Back Room gates with topics that have nothing to do with airguns....
Some don't appreciate that and 'if you don't like it don't look' leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
But, if traffic numbers are important to sponsors and bragging rights, the 'Back Room' has a huge impact.
This past couple years have had adverse affects on lots of folks. For many just providing the basics for themselves or family has put the hobby type stuff on the back burner. "We got our own things to worry about".
You want to see these facts in real time? Have a raffle. I remember our raffles only attracting 500 members. You would think that a $5 ticket to win a $1500 item would attract more than 500 of the 16000 membership.
And finally... yes, the voting turnout this year mirrors that of the past since it began.
-
Thank you to all the nominees for your efforts and content.
Congratulations Jason!
-
Wow, thank you! I am honored and humbled to be included among such fine people, many of whom I have learned from along the way. Thank you to everyone who voted, I do mean everyone. All the guys nominated are fantastic contributors...Hector, Scott, John, and Bill. They help foster a welcoming community and sharing of knowledge that makes GTA such a great place to be.
-
I'll collect the bribe next time I make it down your way.
;D
Just kidding folks!
I've visited with Jason a couple times. I blame him for my PCP addiction!
It was at his place I first shot an AT44 and hit a Fly at 43 yards having only shot the Rifle about 5 times!
-
Congrats Jason! :) Always appreciated your how-to threads and williness to answer questions.
-
Boy that was quick!.... I totally missed the opportunity to vote.... Jason, congrats on winning, you are always there to help when you can....

Congratulations Jason! A well deserved recognition. I remember when you joined back in 2012 and have watched you grow into one of the top contributors on the GTA.
Thank you and all the nominees for your past, present and future contributions to the sport and our forum.
