Title: my new marauder 25 carbine by pacific pellet guns
Post by: captwoody on October 11, 2011, 04:10:51 PM
Well i picked her up today, mounted all her goodies and dialed in scope quickly with benji 25grn domes. so she has a leapers 3X12 44mm side wheel adjustable scope with the 80mm wheel.the Pacific pellet guns 2240 grip with his drop sear trigger group. This thing is sweet, crisp and breaks like glass. So i will show you a picture of her and the target i shot then i will add the details

She looks like my prod on steroids but is very balanced i was surprised because she is long(stock barrel length and baffles)I quickly grouped her with the cheap benjis and got her on paper. this five shot group was shot at 25 yards from bags. this is only shot 24-29 from gun so i am very happy with dime sized group. i still have my pellet assortment to shoot to find the ideal pellet and i wont do that till i fire 1000 rounds and clean her real good once she is broke in so over the chrono here is 2 mags worth with a 3200 fill down to 1900 on the last shot.25grn benji domes in 25 cal@3200psi-867,868,859,855,851,844,834,831,err,815,809,801,791,785,770,754

just a little weight forward, i rest my hand 3" forward of gauge. i am guessing 1.5 lighter than my 22 marauder. if you wanted to shorten barrel and shroud you could save another 1/2-1 lb i am guessing not worth it to me. this was more for cosmetics to match my p-rod

I was trying the same here, but the Teryx saved me a whopping 4oz's over the wood. Even though it shifted it more to the butt end, 10lbs is 10lbs, and sux prolonged offhand shooting.

well ended up making today repair day, right after last post 25 cal bolt slipped forward and fired blowing out breech seal so today went to home depot matched orings for my prod repair(gauge seal) and my 25 breech seals $4.67 later i am home putting back together.prod works fine. mrod was caused by loose pistol grip assembley(loose allens) allowing sear to release. now both up and running. darren puts a really heavy hammer spring in his builds which makes it a bear to cock i make go back to stock and see what fps that costs me. this thing hits like a freight train. Need to break out my fish scale and weigh p-rod,22mrod,25mrod carbine. All 3 are dime sized or smaller at 25 yards WOO-HOO.Now lets get back to some groundy sniping-woody
