Hi all,
I'm playing with the idea of buying a Crosman 600 and several members much more experienced than I am have very kindly pointed out that rebuiding/resealing the 600 is a bit more complicated than other CO2 pistols. Part of the complication is caused by lack of certain parts and if if you mess it up, you could be SOL.
I am starting this thread to hopefully gather info on specifics for this particular pistol
Many thanks,
Ted

Along the way you will find variations in the C600 series such as:
Steel vs. aluminum triggers
Three different (piercing) caps
5 hole sideplate vs. 6 hole sideplate (not interchangable)
Button vs. blade safety
Radial stroke of the safety & corresponding slot length in the frame
Length of the safety slot on the left stock panel
Some have the stop (p/n 90) & stop roller (p/n 92); probably coincides with the 5/6 hole sideplate thing
Brass vs. aluminum valve body

Thank you Floyd, Sir. A treasure trove of information. I found a .pdf of the Vintage Crosman Factory Service Manual that unfortunately I can not attach since it is a rather large file. What I can do is post the link to it https://airgunwarriors.com/resources/library/Vintage_Crosman_Airguns_Factory_Service_Manual_all.pdf
I found it on AirgunWarriors. I downloaded the file on my computer.
Hope you gents find it useful.

Scott, thank you for the cautionary words about sending a Crosman 600 to Henry Ford for repairs. Maybe Mac1 would be a better option?
