Title: might sell discovery, whats a good asking price?
Post by: sawtoothscream on October 11, 2011, 02:25:05 AM
like said im considering selling my discovery. awsome gun all around but i want to get the marauder fixed up and play with the 2240 more.  gun works perfect and loves jsb exact 18gr and predator 16.2 gr. its not a fan of chp or h&N

want to sell with everything on it.

.22 discovery
tko 6.5" shroud (optional)
.040 hammer spring (guns all set for pumping to 2400psi)
2 screw trigger mod and .020 spring
weaver mount
leapers 3-9x50
arts shack power adjustor (optional)
2 barrel bands (do to this i had to shave a little off the tko to allow clearance for the pump)
also did a camo job to it (my first attempt so its not perfect)

pump will not be included

heres some pics, in the pictures it has a m rod trigger, its no longer on the gun

Used stock discos can be had for about $200 or so. Yours has the tko and multiple other mods to increase the price. The paint job could increase or decrease the selling price depending on the buyer. I would think $200 to $250 to the right buyer? It needs to be said that I tend to be a cheap skate. personally I wouldn't give any more for it than a stock gun. I don't really care for camo guns and it is easier to add paint than remove it. I would not be suprised to see it go between $180 and $300. Glad I could narrow it down for you.  :D Sorry I can't be any help. In short I have no idea. For a quick sell it might go cheap, to the right buyer it could go for a bit more.  ??? Good luck! Even though the paint job isn't my cup of tea it looks like  nice gun.

i am cheap as well.  i know the paint could decrease the value (didnt plan on selling when i decided to paint it).  been thinking it over and i dont think i could get anywhere near what i put into it.  might just have to keep it around and keep saving cash.  honestly it shoots so good and is such a nice hunter i would end up missing it.

if you can keep it around and save up and wait..... i would ;D if it's a good shooter, you'll miss it. it won't eat much sitting in the corner and won't get jealous when you are fondling another gun. :D ;D

Keep it and save up then when you find a rifle you really really have to have you can sell the disco to cover some of the costs or sell it to fund the mods to the new rifle
