Title: Is this right? Fast pumping vs slow pumping
Post by: benji397 on November 28, 2021, 06:22:43 PM
Benjamin 392s...14.3 CP Domed.

First, I know this is a small sample data. In the garage where the temperature was reading 48 degrees this is what I observed. If I did 10 pumps at a slow steady rate my FPS was 634, 641, 634. If I did 10 fast pumps my FPS was 658, 660, 661. These strings were back-to-back in less than 10 minutes. Why would fast pumping increase the velocity? Thanks for your help....

Fast pumping equals driving higher air temperatures equals higher velocities... It concerns pure physics...

That makes sense :)  Thanks

Until the air, in the valve, cools down. Then, you're back to the normal velocities.
