Title: Advice about Benjamin trail np pellet pistol .177
Post by: Mascot01 on November 22, 2021, 01:00:42 PM
So I ended up winning an auction on eBay for a Benjamin trail np .177 pellet pistol, curious about advice/others experience with this model and any upgrades/mods recommended.

I have one ( 1st type ) and there are not a lot of mods available.

The barrel lockup indent - clean out the hole and relube - add small screw inside back of spring to add preset,
but to much prest will not allow lockup.
This makes for a more positive lockup and reduces droop.
Replace open rear sight with pistol scope shimmed down - also helps fix droop sighting.
Replace trigger adjustment screw with longer one ( I think it is 3mm diameter ) - the trigger still has a very long creep and not very good.

Here is a chrono table of some pellets

I just shoot the Crosman Premier HP 7.9 grain bought at Walmart.

Attached is the EVP diagram in PDF format.
