As we know, Norica is one of the old, established Spanish airgun makes. Today I saw pictures of a Norica Black Ops Sniper .177 cal. Much to my suprise, the breech block proudly stated: Made in China. And this is not even a low-end offering from Norica, but among the pricier options.
A quick googling doesn't say anything about Noricas being made in anywhere but Spain. Have you guys heard of or seen Chinese Noricas?

Well " made in ". Nowadays holds no weight and pretty much meaningless.
Like made in usa just means they pulled it out of a container in bulk and put ot in a retail box is all that s required to state made in usa.

The Norica website doesn't even list that rifle in the 3 pages of guns they make so typo maybe?? Black Ops Sniper air rifles are from a company
called Bear River and probably made there. Not many sold in the US anymore and to get the one I wanted, had to order it from Aceros in Spain
because they never imported it here.
The Norica stuff is here:

The question is... Does it matter ?

The Black Ops Sniper .177 I have is one of my most accurate break barrels, it did take 500 pellets to break in though.

I'm pretty sure the Black Ops Sniper is made by S/R Industries aka SAG. The black RS2'ish trigger and breech lock look right.
I think it is another S/R SAG 'production reduction' Norica copy.
