Sort of excited, this will be my first .22 caliber multi pump pistol. I ordered from Midway USA on Tuesday and UPS says it will be here Saturday. I odered the steel breech from Crosman then read that Baker has one also, oh well, live and learn. Anyone here have the 2289 Drifter?

Don't have a Drifter, but do have a P1322 with a 14.5" barrel (I think that's what the Drifter has). It came with a shoulder stock as a kit, but I added the longer barrel and front sight, otherwise all stock. It's a good all around pistol.
Just to give an idea as to velocity here's some chrony results I had with CPHP 14.3's, give or take a few fps ;D
5 pumps -430 fps
6 pumps -460 Fps
7 pumps -485 fps
8 pumps -500 fps
9 pumps -515 fps
10 pumps -525 fps
12 pumps -550 fps
If the drifter has a 12" barrel, it'll shoot slightly slower, but will be less cumbersome as a pistol. Though honestly, I don't mind having a pistol with a 14" barrel, I refer to it as my "Buntline" 1322. With the shoulder stock and a TKO it becomes a great carbine.
Hope you enjoy it, they're great fun and can be decent tools.

Thanks ER00z, I can't wait to run it through the chrony. It has a 14.6" barrel and Crosman says "up to 550 fps with lead pellets". We shall see :)

The 2289 Drifter came today:) The steel breech is still on the way though. I couldn't wait to run it over the chrony so I took it to the garage and put the first three shots through it. The is out of the box, no cleaning or lubricating, first three shots with 10 pumps, CPHP 14.3gr
