Well, my B26 arrived yesterday.... Looked at it in the garage, stock is nice, but plain (color is pretty subdued). I figured I'd better give 'er a try cause it's getting dark. I grabbed an old chunk of 2 x 12 and stood it out at the 10 yards. Didn't have time to grab a chair, so I tried kneeling. You know, my eyes aren't as young as they once were...and I've never been much of a shot...but do I have fun. So my first shot with this fancy trigger is quiet. Hmmm I cock it again, there's NO squeak. Next shot is still quiet. After 10 shots it seems like a little over an inch! That CAN"T be right! So today when I got home I tried again. Set up my "bench" and shot 16 groups. I'm sure the groups will tighten up after 500 shots or so...but dang if they're not all under an inch! The worst groups were my standby CPHPs. It really likes the Chinese pellets from BestAirgun!
The gun has nothing lose or rattling like the Blackhawk I've played with. As I said, it's quiet, and doesn't seem nearly as hold sensitive as the other springers I've tried. It's probably a little slower than the Blackhawk (I don't really care) but it's smooth and solid. I'm not sure what kind of magic Mike throws into his standard cleaning, but I couldn't be any happier!
China guns are NOT all created equal. I was told the B26 would be more "refined", but I never dreamed it would make shooting this much more fun! Thanks to Mikeiniowa and GTA for all the knowledge you share!

Glad to see you are happy with your new air rifle! No better feeling.

Congrats on the new rifle. I love the great assets it has to enable well placed shots. Check out Shadow's hunts with his .177 b26.

So its a b28 or a b26 ?
-
If you got a B26 you have a great shooter there. :D I've been asked if I would sell one of my B26's...never hehe. The B28 is a great Magnum shooter also and is on my list of must haves. It's a copy of the RWS350 Magnum and since I cannot afford the RWS the B28.22 will do just fine and even better after a tune. Ed

My bad- I was pecking at the keyboard in the dark. It's a B26, and it's way more accurate than I'll ever be! Probably look at scoping it...later. For now I'm content to have the pellets go exactly where I put 'em (not necessarily where I think I'm aiming). I don't feel the need for a magnum since I mainly punch paper. The "calmness" of the firing cycle is what really surprised me.

The b26 is a great deal at bestairgun, its like $159.95+s/h. And is it a good shooter right from the dealer or does it have to be tuned before it produces good accuracy ?

Mike says he inspects, cleans and lubricates every gun before shipping. This is essentially a lube-tune thrown into the deal. If I hadn't read so many good reviews of the B26 I wouldn't have spent the money. Originally I planned on picking up a refurb and tinkering. I'm SO glad I went ahead and got it. Out of the box it's more accurate than "our" Blackhawk which has around 1000 shots through her. Call Best Airgun and talk to Mike about the B26 that is no longer allowed at a competition...too accurate! This one is is quite accurate as it arrived. Hope this helps!

Congratulations on your B-26.I own 5 of them and will never sell them.I even when as far as having one converted to .20 caliber using an L/W barrel, more accurate than my .20 caliber R9.It's the first rifle on my avatar.Good luck with yours.
-
Felix- A B-26 in .20 sounds sweet! I looked for a .20 caliber but the prices were frightening. I never thought about having one converted to .20. Did you do the work yourself?
-
I had (@&^)(#^* convert it,he also put a shroud on so its backyard friendly.Don't know what happened will send you a private message. Felix

Congrats on the new shooter! Chinese clones can be nice for sure!

Old B26! WooHoo!! Love mine too. The local rabbits and squirrells? Not so much.
It wears a 3-9x40 scope. Both from Mike.
