Hi, my name is Ryan, I live in San Jose California. I was re-introduced to air guns four years ago when my son was getting interested in the sport. To make a long story short, we are both totally hooked ;) my current favorite that I own is my .25 cal benjamin Marauder. Some others we own include a Benjamin Discovery in .22, a Gamo Viper Express that shoots little shot gun type shells, or .22, a Gamo Delta .177, and a Gamo Bigcat is .177. We have quite a few c02 pistols as well. Some of the air guns I want include a Benjamin Marauder pistol, and the new Rogue. I believe the biggest reason this sport is so awesome is because of the people involved in it.

Welcome to the GTA! Do any hunting? If so we love posts in the Hunting gate

I've only hunted soda cans, paper targets and hot wheels as of now, but I'd love to do some pest or game hunting eventually. I will share any stories when I have a chance, thanks!

"we are both totally hooked"
Welcome Ryan, its good to hear that both you and your son enjoy airguns. Lots of parents and children on the board and we always enjoy the stories of how the children outshoot the parents. There'll be lots of friendly encouragement when you finally own up to how good his shooting is!!! LOL
"my current favorite that I own is my .25 cal benjamin Marauder"
I would love to hear about the .25 as its on my shortlist and I keep thinking I need one of these hammers! Join right in Ryan and make yourself at home.

Welcome from CA and to the GTA

Thanks everyone!! And yes Joe, my son is a way better shot than me, he is a great kid. We've had the .25 Mrod for a year. It is so quiet that if you're not careful, you may forget how powerful it is. You won't disturb the neighbors unless you don't have a very strong backstop. It hits hard! I guess we could tune it down, or run C02, but I'd rather have a big backstop in a safe direction and shoot at full power, it just feels right!

Ryan, that is what attracts me to it. I've never had a .25 before and the Mrod is perfect as an introduction to the caliber for me. Now if someone would only give me some money!! lol Shoot lots with your son, bro. The memories are priceless.

Welcome to the GTA. Like you, I too am lucky enough that my son loves to shoot ag's and is my stiffest competition! The memories of our shooting times are by far some of the best ones I have, not because of the shooting, but because of the conversations that we have. The bonding is priceless. Come on in and join our madness!
