Ran across the Artemis 25 9mm and 30 cal on krale website. Anyone try one out yet? For 360$ It could be a great budget gun. Specs 800fps in 9mm.
-
Anyone in the USA import them? Meals is great to work with, but US Customs has bashed two shipments of mine, and one of another member so I'm very cautious of ordering from overseas again.
What's the maximum length of bullet you can load load the mag? If .750 inch long I might be willing to take a look.
-
Listed as 115 foot pounds which means probably 80-90 grain max in the magazine. I didn't read to see if it said choked barrel or not, but my guess is choked and pellets.
-
Looks like new rendition of the SPA m10/m22..
Very interesting, especially for the $$

That m25 in .30 checks all the boxes for me..

Just reread my post, somehow the autocorrect thinks Krale is Meals. Man this tablet is killing me!!!

Shoot it! Before it finishes the job!
kidding aside... no reviews on the 'tube for this rifle in .30 ...

I'll probably be dropping some coin on the M25 soon. I'm torn between .30 and .35-leaning toward the 9mm, but I appreciate the pellet offerings in .30, too. And yeah, likely choked, but firelapping should help things out if using hybrids.
I've ordered from Krale before, less than 48 hours after clicking "order" I was handpumping my PP700.

I'm waiting for a real life review of this gun. The aea challenger has made a spot for itself as an affordable bigbore and I'd like to see snow peak doing the same. This artemis 25 sure looks long.

Well, Krale did the usual superlative service.
I have 3 tins of FX domes in .35 and the similar-bore SPA/Artemis M25 sitting on the desk in front of me. Shipped with no air, as expected. A modular silencer is included with several different cylinders to adjust length. Build quality is about what I expect from SPA- punching above it's class, but not EdGun quality. That's fine, it's not my Leshiy and didn't cost as much, either. In fact, for under $400, I'm quite happy.
I haven't pushed a pellet through the bore, but not only does it come with one magazine (steel and plastic components) it also has the ubiquitous O-ring pack and a single-shot tray. First impression is "big". It does have decent handling, and knowing that loading a mag keeps all the weight in one small section means the handling is faster than the size would normally indicate.
Opening the bolt, verified empty and then peered down the bore- rifle machining is good, nothing untoward or unexpected, but until I push a pellet from breech to crown I won't be able to tell if choked or not. I'm guessing it is, so I can always firelap, clean, and push another pellet to get true dimensions. Even if I'm limited to lighter slugs, hybrids, and pellets, it will still be enough for my needs: coyote. Will I bother with deer tags? Doubtful- I prefer my primitive bows. But this inexpensive PCP certainly expands our horizons, and Sonja has already laid claim to the gun so I'll likely be looking for another big-bore (Recluse, Rex, Eagle Claw, or a 909).
Side note: the bolt approaches the wet-glass frictionless precision of my Mark II. I'm pretty darn impressed.

Took some shots with that M25 today using FX .35 pellets. 1st shot through the burn barrel. Yikes... this thing's a powerhouse. Long rifle, like Mosin-Nagant long.
Sonja nailed a shotgun shell sighting down the barrel at 15 long paces. If I was to guess, shooting ~ 800 FPS. I can just barely follow the pellet with the sun at my side. The trigger is pretty darn good- I doubt I'll mess with it since I don't like super-light triggers for hunting. I'll run some pellets over the chrono, give the barrel a cleaning, maybe even slug the barrel. I'm impressed thus far. I only filled to ~ 195 Bar, took 13 shots and still sitting about 115 Bar. SPA rifle, so hopefully it's like their other designs and has overhead for more more power. Once I spend more time with this rifle, I'll get some pix and some useful data. Simply from the functionality viewpoint, I thinks it very much worth owning.

Thank you for the quick review...

If this had been available last year it would be hanging on my wall in .30 instead of our .25 Eagle Claw. Now I'm focused on ultra light lower powered stuff, but I need another PCP like I need another hole in my head!

If you need to part ways with that Eagle Claw to make room for something, holler.
I just ordered some Hatsan .35 Vortex pellets off Amazon for the M25; I tend to have extremely good luck with amazon for pellets (unlike most people), and only $12 each? Yes please.
If I have time this weekend, we'll be scoping and sighting in the M25 and putting it over the chrono. I'm not overly concerned about power levels for now. Down the road, that will change.
-
This gun is sounding better every time its posted about. If you can get decent groups with the vortex pellets itll definitely be a winner
-
We'll be doing some shooting this weekend. Can't promise any 100-yard testing, but we have both the Vortex and FX pellets, 82 and 81 grain respectively. The M25 is bigger than what I would want for stalking deer, but from a blind, stand, or a bench, I can see it shining. I can verify a .35 pellet at 800+ FPS is lethal to squirrels and nutria equally.

Well, the M25 likes slugs. My Career Ultra 9mm came with some NOE slugs and the mold, so I tried some slugs in the M25. Holy smokes, the power! No chrono work yet, but it hit point-of-aim at 40 yards on a Redbull can endwise, no bracing- just holding free. And Sonja could do it repeatedly.
She also took shots without the silencer and it's loud, however, the integrated airstripper is quite effective. Sonja absolutely LOVES the M25, and despite the greater length compared to the heavier Career Ultra, she handles it very well. Mind you, the scope is a 2x and she just sighted down the barrel- she forgot to turn the red-dot on (LOL) and still rocked that Redbull can.
I haven't done anything to the M25 yet. Intentions are still chrono and slugging, but with it throwing some NOEs that accurately, we're sort-of thinking about just getting some lead billet for casting and enjoying how the gun works in its current state.

Still haven't run the M25 across the chrono, but we spent some time "plinking" at a 16" cymbal hanging on some string at 80 yards with a 10-20 knot variable crosswind out on our property the day after Christmas. I actually sighted in the rifle using an ACOG in 3 shots at a 15 yard hedge-apple (fruit of the Osage Orange), then took shots from the pumphouse to the Cymbal, a measured 80 yards 4 inches. We need higher magnification, but the ACOG's reticle made guesstimating holdover and windage a breeze. We used both FX 81gr and Hatsan 82gr pellets; both worked well enough to ring the "gong" at will. The M25 is well made, doesn't leak, and impresses me every time I shoot it. I filled after about 20 shots up to 230 BAR and shot til it dropped to 1500- it was still on the regulator judging by sound. This upcoming weekend we hope to break out more scope and get some lead over the chrono to see what's actually going on.
This PCP is well worth it.

Cool, I have not met an Artemis gun I did not like, well designed IMO.
-
I'm interested to hear the accuracy you get out of it for the price.
-
Still no accuracy test?

Still no accuracy test?
Haven't been back on the property in several weeks. While we could shoot here at home, the range is short- ~ 40 yards max.
Last time I did shoot, I was able to snipe hedge-apples Osage Orange fruit) repeatedly at 80 yards- about the size of a good Navel Orange, and took a RedBull can free-hand at the same- the can was on its side, so yeah, it has some accuracy. Mind you, I used FX 9mm pellets, Hatsan pellets, and some NOE slugs that went through the sizing die. I need to slap a better scope on it, as it deserves better than an ACOG or the fixed 6x.
I don't think it can do MOA in my hands at 100 yards, but I'm not what I deem a great shot. In a skilled shooter's hands, I feel it could come darn close. At 80 yards, I can shoot a 4 inch group over 20 shots with blustery 6-15 knot winds using 81 grain FX pellets or 82 grain Hatsan pellets and do it repeatedly.
