Dear Friends,
I had a plan to incorporate the latest technology of FX Royal and FX Impact in my already upgraded RAW HM1000X.
I made a new style of valve, the farther stem end of which opens in ATM atmosphere.
Further the valve spring is replaceable without disassembling the gun. And last but not least the valve spring tension is adjustable just like FX Impact without disassembling the RAW HM1000X.
All this helped me decreasing the cocking effort a lot. Cocking is extremely butter smooth. Power is very high even if the hammer spring adjustment is all the way out with a lighter spring and without stock.
The next move will be to lighten the hammer weight to around 40 grams from the original that is around 76 grams.

Above is the link of another forum where you can also see pics.
To me this is all very satisfying.

Did some testing today.
I used only 25 grain .25 jsb pellets.
Hammer was stock like 76 to 80 gram and very light hammer spring.
Consistency was not good but I understand that once I make light hammer and use stiffer spring the Consistency will come back. But it will take time to make the hammer of required weight as it needs trial and testing.
The good thing is the I filled the gun to 250 bars and started shooting the pellets at around 950 fps.
After about 20 pellets I started dry firing the gun. Then again after 20 dry shots I used some pellets.
So I went on switching between dry firing and shooting the pellets.
My reg is set at 150 bars and after 150 bars the fps went very high which I controlled through valve adjustment and hammer spring adjustment.
I got combination of 200 shots at an average fps of 950 out of which 140 were dry fires and 60 were pellets.
After the bottle pressure reached 100 bars the fps started decreasing so I stopped shooting.
I understand that when pcp is used without pellets it consumes more air.
Even if we neglect the above observation, 200 shots from 480 Cc bottle with RAW from 250 bars to 100 bars at an average of 950 fps looks promising to me.
Am I right!!!

Yeah Mubhaur,
When you have completed your experimentation ... I will have to fire up my lathe and (try to) modify my RAWS.
Great work! ;)

When you have a similar balanced valve as in FX then you need similar hammer weights and spring force. FX Crown has a hammer weighing about 7 grams ...
It is a shame that the vast majority of PCP manufacturers do not have this or a similar balanced valve!
