Well what do ya think? Did a lot of work on the inside so I figured I would do something to the outside.
Color is called Early Spring. After all it is a spring gun. ;D
-
well......why the change? just something different?
-
Nice! I can still see the grain. Aniline dye? I was thinking who needs another "brown" stock? Nice job!
-
I like it. ;D
-
Thanks ;D yup something different. It is Minwax tintable stain.
-
dont get me wrong...it does look good. i just wasnt expecting a green stock when i opened it. lol
-
Yes, it looks quite nice. ;D There's nothing wrong with a bit of color. Beats some of the baby **** tan stocks you see, especially on the Chinese guns.
-
Now thats looks pretty sharp...
Why be boreing....green = kool
-
dont get me wrong...it does look good. i just wasnt expecting a green stock when i opened it. lol
Thats what I was looking for LOL
-
Got the idea from the laminated stock some HW97's have. ;D
-
I actually am speechless... it is a beautiful rifle and yes, it does remind me of a HW97 100th anniversary... my absolute holy grail... It looks amazing!
-
Thanks I would love to get my hands on one myself. ;D
-
Nice work there!
-
Is that a .22 or .177?
-

WOW very nice!
-
Very nice. Sometimes it's good to think out of the box for gun colors. There are alternatives to shades of brown and black. I need to keep reminding myself of that! :D

AAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!! i am going to have to quit my job and scan the yellow and every other classified if i want a chance at a centennial hw....
-
i'll grab an ax to my R9 for a chance at buying the hw cent...
-
... maybe not... no, i really like the 9 too... left nut, R9, left nut, R9... that's a tough one... lol
-
Wanna burn a hole in your pocket? Someone recently listed two BSA Airsporter Centennials on the Yellow. Ever seen one of those beauties?
-
"The 97 that was on the yellow this weekend was just for the stock and trigger guard not the complete gun. In 3 years I've only seen 2 100 year 97's for sale and a couple R-9's "
The green one was the whole gun (20 cal.) - there was a blue one (with trigger guard) that was stock and hardware only. Somebody posted an "I'll take it" Saturday night, so I just skipped over it. Must have fallen through, because he posted a "still available' later on. The second "I'll take it" was at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday. Most of the times on weekends, I sleep until I wake up -the alarm clock annoys me to death Monday through Friday, so weekends I sleep in. A perfect case of "You Snooze - You Loose" lol.
Besides - I think I like s10gto's stock better than the Millineum's anyways

yeah, kevin is selling that beauty... but i got all the bsa i want... a supersport .22, a meteor mk V in .177 and a carbine mercury challenger S in .177. the airsporter i would like is older than the centennary. all newer airsporters are very much available by Gamo, as the cfx and the stutzen... just like the comet is a nitro17... barrel aside.
-
Anybody have a pic of the Centennary? I did my usual Google search - came up empty
Thanks
Mark
-
search for hw97 anniversary edition green laminate. you can buy a blue one new now, but is not green...lol
-
I meant the BSA Airsporter Centennary (or Centennial) - sorry for the confusion, but I'm always "on the prowl"
-
nicely done, and yeah, it's different. "to boldly go where no man has gone before...." comes to mind.

I know - I was dying. Heck, a new one with a birch stock is 600! When I saw the first "I'll take it" I thought "that figures -at that price" . When I got up the next day and saw I missed it for a second time, I felt like throwing up.

I just stained some bamboo wood cooking utensils with Scarlett red rite dye for dying clothing. They came out awesome. Now I have ideas for gun stocks as there are many colors available in rite dyes. I have a B26 stock that is untouched at this time. Getting ideas.

You can get light colored stocks using regular laytex paint just thin it with water and rub it on and before it dries wipe it off I once made a pistol stock and did it in blue, You can finish over the color with whatever finish you want and if you don't like it sane it off and start over. Howie
