So looked for some squirrel, rat,ECT print targets and found some and printed to make template for steel.
But you know print paper is kinda lame so I cut it out and made a more sturdy cardboard template. Ok good but now it's hot and started raining I don't want to fool with cutting metal , bit I wanted to shoot the cardboard animals...lol
So I just painted or draw d out the templates cut the cards out and put them up . On my racks.
Anyway it was quick and easy to trace it out ,cut and hang and shoot till I get the steel ones made.
Also seems easy to make up for kids to shoot .

Cool I have done similar, but went the extra step one time and cut them out of scraps of plywood, also used a hole saw and cut out a kill zone plug to knock out.

I'd love to see more metal silhouette targets of varying sizes with metal hinged knock down bullseyes for different ranges and positions on field target range setups
Kind of a Sporting Clays for air rifle shooters.

I got one metal cut out then it's got hot again 9am and already showing 86' and humid as heck.
Sweat hard just standing still. Lol...
It's easy to just draw it on cardboard and hang them on the racks or wherever , but I'll make good steel ones when it cools off a bit.

Mounted metal ones i got done today. Ready to shoot.

Figured I hang a bat seeing it fit this piece scrap . I got to figure a better hanger..lol
I was going to do Elmo but he just did not fully fit the metal.. when it cools off I'll be using The good stuff for these..(3/16).

Just to say these metal squirrels near to size of a young squirrel worked good for 40 and 45 yard open sight head shot practice.
Post Sitting at 45 and ground at 40y

Sounds good...
Ya, it's just too hot here to make some up with good stuff.
Them were quick scrap metal I had and cut out that the templates fit. ( As you can see the rust pits in it )
Last night I printed some extra shapes to make more templates. . I got new 1/8 and 3/16 sheet steel to use once it cools off to knock some more out.
Ya, a bit more fun then just square or circle stuff for sure.
Also found the bat to be dual purpose...
As a target or mount on a spotlight to call for batman..lol..

Really nice, now cut or drill a hole through weld a slip pin door hinge sawed in half with slightly smaller steel round piece for a knock down bullseye and put a longer rod of same diameter with a short flat steel arm with a hole in the end for the reset line and you're all set for a target for a field target range. make them different sizes, different game animals with different size bullseyes. Different targets that you can reset just by pulling on an attached cord. Different ranges, shooting position's. Some in open setting others in brushy setting. and If you are motivated I think there's a market for them. Field target ranges, particularly the better ones are like sporting clays for air rifle shooters.

Lol.. I'm lucky I get off my lazy butt to do as much as I did..
Open sight head shot at range is all I need to keep practice. Then if I paint/ draw a circle and hit or miss that ain't it about the same?
A inch is a inch drawer , painted or cutout. So to say.
