Hi all,
Anybody have any experience with Alliance Hobby's flat mans pack for the 1322? The kit includes flat top piston, valve, heavier hammer spring, and bigger transfer port. How's the fit and finish? I'm looking for something that is drop and play that will give me more FPS with less pump. My goal is to gain as much FPS using the stock 10.1" barrel because that's the length it'll fit into my hiking backpack. Any comments regarding this particular vendor is highly appreciated.
Also, any other worth while mods I should do to gain additional FPS using the 10.1" barrel is welcome.

i dont have any experience with that kit, but if it is as good as his other mods and products... i would say you will be in good shape with it. the piston isnt adjustable, so plug and play makes this one a nice option. the price is not bad with the spring and max flow transfer port included. he is very talented and i have bought other things from him many times. never had an issue with anything. the only down side is shipping time. you might get it in a couple weeks, you might get it in 8 weeks? just depends on how busy he is?
as far as FPS gain... there is only so much you can do with the stock length barrel, but going with the FTP setup will give you an increased FPS by maximizing pumping effeciency. the max flow transfer port, i have learned here that it is only an advantage if you port the barrel TP opening to match the opening of the TP itself. either way, i would say that with what you are going with... you should see an increase. i would also suggest that while you have it apart, take the extra time and do the deburring of the slots and openings of the pump tube. pinning the valve would be another suggestion, if you have the means to do so. pinning it will keep the valve from pushing backwards as time/use occurs. ;)
good luck with your build! 8)

I don't know what is going on at Alliance, but he does advertise on his site that he gets things shipped in 48 hours. In spite of it, I waited three weeks for the stuff I ordered at Alliance for my adult birthday present to myself. Once it got past a week, I started sending emails every couple of days. Finally, on the third week and past my birthday, I started to experience buyer's remorse and requested a refund. Instead of a refund, he shipped my order that night. Still don't know how I feel about it, the jury is still out on that one.

I have the kit but I haven't installed it yet. I need to buy a second barrel just in case I muff up while enlarging the TP. I must say that while the kit looks very good fit and finish, it took an inordinate long time to receive it. It is too bad and he may be experiencing delays due to outside factors but in my opinion letting prospective customers know about realistic shipping times would be a better business practice.

I completely agree... and this is exactly what I implored him to do. I suggested that he change the estimated shipping times posted on his site from 2-3 days to at minimum 1 week. He probably believes the more realistic shipping times will deter future customers, and admittedly it would have deterred me. I chose to patron his establishment primarily based on the posted shipping time, and it surely put a bitter taste in my mouth when I learned I was mistaken.

4 weeks in, I finally got an email that he didn't forget me and he would try to get my parts in the mail the NEXT day. 2 weeks later the tracking # did nothing. So I asked for a refund, which I did get. So I'm safe to assume He never made my custom parts. Will not deal with Alliance again

After 1 response from Alliance Hobby, I ordered a power adjuster for my 2240. After 2 weeks of no tracking numbers and no reply from my emails or calls, I had my bank declare it a fraud if they process my payments. I was sad that Alliance Hobby is doing business like this, it is really hurting their reputation.
