Title: Scope AO range finding tape mod

Not sure I got the tile right but here is the question,

What tape are you guys using to put on either a focus wheel or the bell of an AO scope?  I know how dumb that may sound but I would think it would have to take some abuse and the tape would have to take the markings well and not ware off.  Didn't know if there was special tape that worked better than others.  I know I cue put some painters tape on the bell and just write on it but there has to be something more durable.  I see quite a bit of thin white tape not sure what they are using.

Get your range markings on the tape, whatever you are using and then apply clear packing tape over it.

I use PVC electrical tape marked with a permanent marker. Has worked well for me...........

LOL....there are others with a more professional approach beyond my abilities and need like these...........

Ok thanks.  Now where would I get said tape?  LOL  I guess there is a bit on the pellet tins but where can I get it locally or online.  Seems in looking there are a few types.

I got mine here............

I wrapped it around the bottom of a pellet tin so it could be trimmed to width with a sharp blade.

Ha thanks.  Ya know at first i thought it may be the tape around the tin to keep it closed.  Then when I looked at the way the tape was on the can I thought maybe that is what was goin on.  Good deal not only can I get the tape but now how to "mod" the roll in the process.
