Title: What pellets should I try?
Post by: T-Man on June 05, 2021, 08:36:10 AM
I'm about to order a Crosman MAG - Fire Mission in .22 cal. and need to order some pellets to go along with it.
I plan to use it for pest control and target shooting in my residential backyard. Accuracy and quietness are important.  What pellets should I even start with?

Every gun is different and it chooses the pellet it likes. You could try a sampler pack if you want to experiment or just pick some small quantity tins of different pellets. Any advice anyone can offer will be subjective to their own experience. In my case... my 1322 loves the Crosman Super points as does both of my 1377's. My 2400KT loves the JSB heavy domes. My 1077 doesnt seem to like anything I've tried, but I think that gun is a dud, lol.
Hollow points seem to be a favorite of many but I didn't have any luck with them in any of my guns... but others do. Right now, many popular pellet types are out of stock except in places like eBay where the gougers are sticking ridiculous prices on them.
Me personally, based on my experience... I always try the super points first.  ;)
