I have a crossover era Benjamin 397P and was wondering what pellets do you guys get the best results with. The rifle is scoped and I'm wanting to shoot it at 25+ yrds.

I also have a mid 90s tang safety 397P transition gun. It's actually my most accurate pumper in our pumper collection. Mine is not pellet picky, but it tends to do a bit better with with 10 grain plus 177 heavies, like the Crosman Premier Ultra Mag Domed or the equivalent in a JSB or H&N. Some of my best targets were shot with the Beeman Kodiak Match, but those appear to have gone extinct.
For target work, I use 4 pumps out to 30 yards and 6 when shooting at 50 yards. Mine will do half inch at 30 yards very consistently and stay well under an inch at 50 when conditions are good. I have it scoped with a Nikon Prostate 3-9x EFR.

Well then that's where I'll start. Mine isn't pellet pickey either but I know I can get better results. Not sure about scope model on mine but it's an old Bushnell. I believe it's the weather proof one, don't think it's high end. Thanks for the information.

Depending on parallax setting of the scope and distance you shoot may give less than stellar results.

RWS Basic did alright in the one I had.
