Title: Flashpup syn lever ver .22 Flashpup syn bolt ver .25 part swap?
Post by: Rhinolow on May 26, 2021, 10:58:07 PM
I bought the lever version .22 and have great fun adding a huma-reg, Donny FL tatsu, and tuning.  A .25 bolt action refurb showed up on Hatasn today and I snagged it.  I know the tatsu won't swap over because it is .22.  Obviously, the barrel and the breach won't swap over either.  Can I swap the air cylinder with the reg over or are they different size/parts?   I'm wondering if I should sell the .22 or keep it for parts on the .25.  Will the hammer swap? the trigger? The stock? Any input here would be helpful in making that decision.

The side lever versions are relatively new to the US. HatsanUSA sold out pretty quick on what they had and MidwayUSA had a few, but I think I've only seen one member say they bought one which makes you the guinea pig here unless someone that did grab one wants to chime is with things they've found or done to the one they got.

Wish I could help more but there's just not a lot of info out there on the new side levers yet.

All things considered....not really seeing you not needing the breach and bolt system....and that's just assuming they haven't made any mounting screw location changes.

The airtube should probably swap but Huma sells separate regs for the .22 and .25 since you need more plenum volume for the larger projectile.  The trigger should swap no problem, the hammer from the .22 is most likely lighter and the valve may have smaller porting.  I would just sell the .22 if you don't want it and start fresh with the .25 assuming you don't want the .22 anymore.  However .25 pellets have been in short supply lately, at first glance it seems like there are more .22 pellets available so maybe keep the .22 for now incase you can't get ammo in .25 caliber.
