Title: Coyote vs Urban
Post by: Trucker3573 on May 25, 2021, 08:35:57 PM
Just curious about the differences? Is the coyote actually an upgrade or sideways move? I ask as I can’t get across how much I love my urban. It’s like the gun was built around a 14.3 gr crosman pellet which is about all you can buy right now. Is the coyote more power? I have a wood avenger arriving Friday but thinking of just flipping it without even opening for a coyote. Figure the coyote and urban would share many parts and that would be a bonus.

Very similar, coyote has a longer barrel and air tube, so theoretically a bit more FPS, and a few more shots as well. I would say a sideways move, I had the same discussion with myself.

Will a coyote stock fit an urban?

I believe so, I have seen a coyote in an urban stock.

I've been thinking about a Coyote myself. My Urban loves the 30 grain BBT slugs I'm casting, but I wish I had something that would shoot them a little faster. These BSA barrels seem to like everything.

I know it's not a Coyote, but they do have free shipping:

Oh, they also have a Coyote:

Nice and thanks. The buccaneer is basically the same gun. Seems more powerful than the urban. Rick eutsler was getting 840 FPS with jsb 18 in his review. Nice

Ransony also sells on EBAY, but their prices are higher.

Been eyeing that laminate BSA in .177  ;D

I have looked unsuccessfully for the Urban in 177 caliber. The Coyote is available in 177 and 22. The Urban looks like it's a sweet handling rifle; the Coyote not so much.
I don't know how many shots each rifle gets. I'm just looking for a good off hand shooter. I have a Hatsan Flash that is good off hand, and it's pretty accurate but it's just jagget metal inside. Strangly it works okay.
Does anyone know about changing the Urban to 177?

Didn’t sell an “almost” .177 Urban in the US…..either they didn’t think there was a market for them,  left the .177’s to the higher priced versions. or for some other reason.  Did make “almost” Urbans in .177 (same size air tube/stock) as the GX40 and Phox, but often set up for the UK 12 foot pound limit and never saw them sold by US dealers.
