Title: Sorta new to airgunning

Hello from north Orange County, CA

I probably wouldn't have found this site if the local shooting ranges would allow airguns.

Last year, I would sometimes target shoot at the local range with my Buckmark and my IZH-46M. So this year I bought a Crosman Nitro Venom so I could eventually shoot with my grandson, who lives on the outskirts of Bakersfield (CA). When I took the Crosman to the range to break it in, I was told no more airguns. I called other indoor shooting ranges (LA and Orange Co. CA), but they each said no airguns. (I now understand that it has to do with the backstops not absorbing the shot).

So when I went online to see what options, solutions, forums there are, this site came up. And I signed up right away.
I haven't explored nearly enough of this site, but I certainly plan to. Glad it's here.

South OC here.  On Target in Laguna Niguel said I could use the range to ZERO my scope.  He was more worried about BB guns.  When I told them it was a 1000FPS pellet gun he said it woudl be fine.

One of the best things you can do is properly orientate your grandson to shooting.  It will be quality time, you will never forget and neither will he.
