Hi Shoot Straight,

It looks like it does mean "Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff" according to what dk1677 found.  Translated into English, it simply means "Rheinland-Westfalia Explosives".  Rheinland-Westfalia is a state in Germany and is probably where the comany is located.  But, RWS is basically the company that served to import or export the Diana-made guns.  The never did manufacture them.  It looks by the rest of the name it deals largely in other areas though.  :P
