Title: Still tickled with my FWB Sport
Post by: Cslinger on May 08, 2021, 02:14:37 PM
I know some of you have had trials and tribulations with your FWB Sport's and I stand by the fact that they are over powered but I pulled mine out this morning after shooting other stuff for a while and I am still completely tickled with mine.

Its got a snap to it and it requires "attention" but mine is a joy to shoot.  Its too bad that QC seems to have played such a random role in these rifles.  Better QC and 250 or so less FPS and these would be legendary.

Nicely done. And thanks for showing the Sport some love. :)

Oh, I have had my share of trials and tribulations with the Sport, too, but it's never crossed my mind to sell it. After all, what else shoots like the Sport? It's one of those unique springers that fascinate me. I'm actually having more fun with our Sport, now that I've ditched the scope and gone with a red dot, plus shooting it more often without a rest also helps. Nope, when I'm in the mood to dance with the devil, gotta have that Sport, handy.

Been waiting for the darn wind to calm down a little for some 50 yard work with the Sport. That may be a better distance for that Sport power level. We'll see.

My Sport, as Joanie has commented, is indeed an ultra challenging taskmaster.  Each outing is a learning experience.  I never know what mood she'll be in; therefore, each outing is an initial first timer.

Yes, I enjoy shooting my FWB Sport.  Weather permitting, I might break her out tomorrow since tomorrow is Mothers Day.   ;)

And whether you like the Sport or not, one thing that can't be denied is the excellent finish and design of the stock. My walnut AA under levers have more beautiful wood, but, even so, they were not finished as nicely as the Sport, right out of the box. FWB got that part, right.

They are a beautiful rifle. Never had the chance to handle one, but they have gotten my attention. Great shooting!

Take it easy.
