A lot of people have asked about this (including myself), but I have never found anything that shows how to do this mod. I finally managed to figure it out and got it to work, so I made a video to help other tinkerers. It's actually not complicated, and the 392 is pretty easy to take apart and work on.

I'd recommend buying some springs rather than cannibalizing your trigger spring like I did, but I was going to take the trigger spring out for other modifications anyway.

Good video, thanks for making it.

Great video Dan. Thank you for the time and effort involved. I'm always amazed at the
knowledge and ingenuity of the membership here. All of mine are soldered valve rifles
but since they did away with the wood stocks I'm gonna have to get a couple wood PA's
and this is definitely informative for folks that can't leave things alone.
