Title: Kudos to North Country Gal!
Post by: Oldgringo on April 23, 2021, 02:39:25 PM
North Country Gal, Joanie, is not only a very good shot, but she also has a mountain of air gun knowledge and experience she is more than willing to share with us relative newcomers to the air gun community.  She is the epitome of what this forum is about.  Thank you for that.

Far beyond the above, Joanie has a trusting heart of gold.  She has trustingly sent me a Burris Red Dot sight in a trade that's yet to be finalized.  In her words, “Not to worry, we'll work something out, later.”

Thank you very much, Joanie.  They surely don't make 'em like you anymore. I'm good for it, just give the word.

That is very cool.  It's always refreshing to remind me there are still lot's of great people there...  contrary to to all the doom and gloom on the news...  I can tell this forum is full of great people...

On another note both you and Joanie led me (indirectly of course  :D) to purchase a red dot for one of my 50's.  I've always wanted to  try one and your thread pushed me over the edge...  Thank you, both of you!  I'm very happy so far.

Chris

Greg,
You forgot one critical aspect of her persuasiveness, reflecting the epitome of what this forum is about.
She is a serious ENABLER , responsible for the Roots of my "German, air rifle addiction" ;)

That's great. Always enjoyable to hear/read things like this...

Unless things are written in that GREEN. Lol, not color blind, but may have an impairment. Took a LONG minute to read that line "German air rifle addiction ", but made me laugh when I figured it out.

Back on point, that's awesome and very happy for you.

Thank-you, Greg and thanks to all for the nice comments.

Yes, guilty as charged as one the forum's enablers. In my defense, I don't intentionally set out to spread the shooting addiction, but as with so many others, here, my love of shooting air guns comes through in my posts. That enthusiasm, of course, is contagious. It works both ways, though. When I read everyone else's posts, it reinforces my addiction, so in that respect, we are all enablers on this forum. May it always be so. :)
