I seem to overlook my Premium stocked Diana 34 in favor of my various HW's. Yesterday, I took this long-legged fraulein out for a stroll. The target below is five 4.52 H&N FTT's at 30 yards. Four of the pellets are <3/8" ctc. The one pellet off to itself is a shooter flaw.

That's very good shooting. I wouldn't say it's neglected, just saved for special occasions. Neglected is the 470TH I still have in its box hidden away in the back of the closet. ::)
At least it's getting some use. Seems very accurate. Do you prefer the HW's over the 34 or are they what you just tend to grab?

Thank you.
I encourage the rifles to tell me which pellet they prefer and then shoot that pellet. In this case and on that day, the Diana 34 preferred the 4.52 H&N FTT.

Nice work, Greg. Might be time for me to dust off one of the vintage Dianas, too. I have a late 80s vintage RWS 36 that rarely gets shot, what with all our other springers. Need to give it more attention.

Really nice shooting for 30 yds.

Very impressive, Greg! Wow!

Greg,
How do you keep all the ladies in your harem happy? ;D

I pulled this premium-stocked fraulein out again today. She is much more pleasant and accurate, in my old hands, than is the beautiful FWB Sport. What to do, what to do? I need room, in my safe, for another HW30S.

Thank you, Joanie. Do you know how many, and what, airguns y'all have? Askin' for a friend. :D

Thanks for the diana love Greg. I may just pull ole #27 out this weekend and pop a few diabolos through her. Been too busy for much airguning lately, but things are leveling out some so,.......😁

Yeah, I keep a list, same as most folks, but too long to post. Have examples of every type of air gun, except BB guns, right now. Quite a few vintage guns in need of a rebuild, but just too busy to pack them up and ship them off. Springers, though, are the bulk of our collection and also what we shoot the most. Currently 20 of those. Definitely time to thin the herd, but, again, no time. Love to be able to go back and start over, knowing what I know, now. You know how that goes.
Next most used AGs are our handful of PCPs, because I'm such an accuracy fanatic. Shooting PCP has not diminished my love of shooting springers, though, so not everyone who tries PCP disappears over to the dark side. In fact, if anything, shooting PCP had enhanced my love of shooting springers in that it pushes me to to try harder with the springers.

Hi Mike. I think my Diana 34 was my first venture into the wonderful world of Springers. It was tuned many moons ago by Shootist and it has been an easy to shoot .177 air rifle. No, I think I'll hang onto it for a while. I am growing less fond of my LNIB FWB Sport, however.

I'd take that 34 premium over the FWB Sport any day and 2wice on Sunday. I shot one of those new FWBs a while back. One short shooting session and I passed on buying it. All show and no go imho.

:) :) :) Not defending the Sport, here, Mike, but the go is there with the Sport, but, yeah, you pay a rather hefty price to get it. No argument, there. I sometimes wonder why I even put up with the Sport when I have so many easy springers to shoot. Guess I'm attracted to the Sport's uniqueness, not to mention I'm such a sucker for a challenge. Make no mistake, though, the Sport is capable of superb springer accuracy, right there with our best under levers. I have the groups to prove it, plenty of them. The headache is the patience and effort needed to get those groups. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to bang their head against the wall with the Sport. Me, I just wear my bicycle helmet, as needed.

I reckon it's true, "there are different strokes for difterent folks"? This morning, before I mow the yard, I'm enjoying the challenge of my FWB Sport. I've got a <1" single hole in the target after 15 pellets at 30 yards. There are two pellets that are not in that one ragged hole. Is it an HW, no; it is an FWB Sport.
