I have been watching the wait times for .22 air gun slug/pellet molds and seeing a wait of many months if not more than a year for many of them. Meanwhile there are a few different .22 LR molds out there that can cast a slug fairly close to what I have been looking for. One that is readily available casts both a 25 gr slug and 38 gr slug in one shot. I realize a .22 PB slug is slightly larger in diameter than a .22 air gun bore, so I was wondering if it was possible or feasible to take a 25 gr .22 PB slug and run it through a sizing die to get it to .218 where it would allow a .22 PCP to shoot it.
I see NOE has plenty of resizing bushings in several .22 air rifle diameters available, and I am sure I can fit those into my home made slug sizer die holder. But I don't know of anyone who has tried it before. I would not even attempt it with a regular 55 gr .22 LR slug. But the lighter weight slugs I could cast with one of those available molds might work.
They look like this:

I probably wouldn't even mess with the 38 gr size. The 25 gr on the left is more in line with what I want for my Umarex Origin. It is designed for "hyper velocity" (1720 fps) shooting
Anyone ever resized lighter weight .22 PB slugs to use in a .22 PCP?

That appears to be the 22lr Reloader mold. I happen to have just got one a month ago. After a month and a half wait. They don’t mention that on the website when you order.
I cast some with it and may still have a couple of the hv pills laying on the bench. I don’t have a .218 bushing but do have a .220 drill bushing. I’ll check later.

Here are some specs for you. The .203 is the tail diameter. Not sure how well these would shoot but there is some data for you.
It went through the .220 pretty easy

Thank you sir! At least I know it is a possible option.
