Anyone have experience with AEA airguns? I am curious as I was thinking about one but heard the element
had been withdrawn in some markets due to a safety issue. Anyways does anyone own one and can comment
on power accuracy, reliabilty etc?

There's several threads going on in the big bore gate.

I’ve seen good reviews (although mostly from paid reviewers) and then I saw a few from this guy, who did not seem impressed:

Also seeing a few being put up for sale here and there.

That video is now over a year old , and it looks like AEA has upped it's quality I just bought the AEA .357 Challenger.... negatives are a heavy hammer spring / heavy trigger but both are improving after lubing the contact moving parts and breaking them in by use ...fantastic 10 shot cnc aluminum magazine with metal attached on the bottom to stick to a magnet located on the gun and a spring loaded ball bearing for precise position cycling out of this mag is flaw less super smooth ! .... Gun is holding air shooting a 81 G JSB 3400psi{max 3600} around 1000 fps shot down to shot 10 at 880 as tested at below 940fps hole threw hole accuracy is possible at 50 yards tested ...
I have not gone out 75-100 yet , from what I am seeing at 50 it should do fantastic further out ....
530 bucks shipped to my door ,and it has more power ,and shot count than a stock bulldog ,and there is a 32 inch barrel available when they are in stock ....
you wont beat it for the money , and if we can get some one like - Duy ;D ;D to make some peek poppets for it we can get a lighter hammer spring , and make this gun easier to set the hammer on , and it will also make the trigger have a lighter pull ... so if we can accomplish this by those 2 part's mentioned , and work ... would make this gun really sweet for under 600 bucks shipped ...

The most important thing about buying an AEA airgun seems to me to be WHO you buy one from rather than what you buy.
There are at least 3 different dealers in the USA that I know of off the top of my head and one of them, Bin-Lu at PCPcom.us. (SigShooter on YouTube) has complaints about his poor customer service and things like shipping guns without magazine, making promises he does not keep, etc. I would not recommend buying from him.
I bought mine from https://www.aeaairgunus.com/ (https://www.aeaairgunus.com/) and have been happy with it. At least 2 others on GTA have bought theirs from the same company. That one I can recommend.
Then there is Zachary at aresairgunstactical.com. Some of his customers are on GTA and have been happy with his company.

I purchased my .357 Terminator, a year and a half ago, from Zachary and his customer service has been outstanding with good support.

I've bought 3 rifles from Zachary excellent customer service he's fast shipping and well packaged. He does what he says he'll do and fix or what with any problems.

I just bought one from aeaairgun.net. took a week and arrived well packed via FedEx. I got the hp ss. 25 semiautomatic. I love it. Heavy to cook due to being semi but seems fairly accurate with 30gr barracudas.once I get my mount for the sight I want to run ill do some accuracey and cronnopragh testing.
-
Bin-Lu and his partner turn out to have been arrested in January and are facing Federal firearms charges. Perhaps that might explain his poor customer service and lack of producing what he says he will get his customers.

I bought a hp assassin in .25 and I like it so much I’ve sold my huben k1 and shoot this aea exclusively. I liked the huben design philosophy, and the trigger was excellent, but I couldn’t get it to shoot as well as I’d hoped, and this aea actually does better groups and is just all around more fun. The trigger was pretty bad at first but it broke in and now it’s pretty good actually. I’ve never seen a trigger improve itself so much on its own. Anyway, I wanted to be able to have a ready solution for night varmints and with a see all sight on it, with a pistol weapon light mounted upside down in front of the see-all, this combo is ultra deadly. Super bright, easy to shoot, easy to pack, lot of air capacity, lot of power (47gr slugs move 800fps factory set, no mods). My mags are kinda flimsy, plastic, could be better. But I love it! Now I want the 357 version.
-
I have had the Challenger .30 Standard for a couple weeks now, so far so good, did damage a mag. when I failed to lock the bolt down, have not had that issue since, seems everything is meshing together quite well now. Can not beat these for the power/ accuracy at this price point for sure.
-
I really like my Challenger SL 357 a lot, a fantastic shooting gun and very well worth what I paid for it.

I keep ogling these as well. When they put out a semi pistol in 25 that’s pushing 50fpe I’ll have to buy it. They seem like good guns with the largest issue being customers who don’t read directions or know what they are doing.

I just watched a video Mr. Hollowpoint did on the Challenger with the long barrel in .30, and that gun was making some insane power numbers on a 4500 psi fill. He said the maker did confirm the cylinder/gun could take that pressure safely. I don't remember the exact numbers, but he was getting well over 200 fpe with 82 grain slugs in .30! Seems like it was shooting them at like 1080 fps :o :o
I can't comment on reliability or accuracy at those power levels, but those power figures are just crazy for a .30. Seems like the long barreled challenger would be the way to go, if you just wanted a hammer of a gun though.
-
I always kind of wondered when looking at AEA's Specifications if a person actually could fill the Challenger up more than 3600psi,
even before I bought my gun I was always curious how they showed 300bar fill at their website. I never really did study the
owners manual but it might even have something in there that shows a 300bar fill. I may have to try going higher with mine
just to see how many more shots I can get at about a 4Kpsi fill.
-
So far my AEA big bore's .357 24inch barrel / .30 32inch barrel bullpup are doing pretty darn good ! over 200 shot's threw both ,and holding air /shooting with a lot of power !
Trigger's are fast break hard to pull heavy triggers that seem to be getting better with use , a good polish on trigger mech's would help ...

Yep ! 214 fpe out of the long barrel 32inch challenger bullpup with 82g bullet ! that is what Bob's test showed ... I have this one in bullpup form , and the .357 24inch barrel challenger both are power house guns , I think a polish on the trigger mech's will make the trigger better , the cool thing about the .30 long barrel is it is shorter than my Dar gun's with out the moderator seen in my pic's , and it has a transfer port power adjuster that really works fantastic went from shooting NOE 46g 1200fps range down to 910fps by adjusting the power knob 1/4 of and inch , so you can shoot bullets on full power , or turn it down on the fly and shoot lighter pellets accurate , and if I remember correctly AEA uses LW barrels ...

I'm interested in 22 challenger but sold out. I read on AEA site there is no warranty, is that right?
-
Elmer I was watching on one of "AEA airguns USA" on youtube that when you purchase a gun from them you're automatically covered by a warranty without having to send anything in.

Just tested out my .357 AEA Challenger at higher pressure. Went to 27.75 MPa or 4024 psi, which is roughly halfway to the new max of 4500 psi from where we had been shooting at 3500 psi. Results were startling. Shot 105.8 gr slugs that fit in the magazine. High of 1095 fps for 282 fpe. 1st 4 shots all over 226 fpe.

How accurate are they ?

I have not tested for accuracy only had a little while before I had to get ready for work. Will do that Wednesday on my day off

My HP SS .22 cal shoots quite decently and consistently at 50 yards. Other than being unregulated where you have to keep track to hold accordingly, and the bark; this is a fun gun to shoot. The semi-auto feature is sweeet.

I want to pick up one of these and mount a Pard NV008 on it for nightime ratting.

Pretty much everyone that's had experience with the HP series has had decent luck with them from what I'm seeing. I may purchase one of their semi autos, they seem to be a heck of a lot better than a lot of the other semi auto flops that I've seen, I know that the SAM is probably junk in comparison.

It looks like AEA is rapidly gaining respect in the AG world after a lot of new company negativity in the early days.
My .357 semi Terminator has been flawless, after 1 1/2 years, after repairing a small leak on the bottle adaptor.
The HP SS is looking promising.
