Title: Beeman 23 or 27 British?
Post by: Wunderwerks on March 25, 2021, 09:30:44 AM
Auction coming up and I've identified the air gun as either a Beeman 23 or 27. At least according to Beeman's Air Gun Digest.  It is an internet auction so I cannot identify it exactly.  It is listed as British but I cannot find any internet information for this model of Beeman. It is a basic entry level target rifle.  Cannot find where one even sold anywhere.  Auction company will not respond to any inquiries.

It's hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like a German-made Diana model 23 or 25. Definitely not a model 27. These are junior-sized guns, well-made but not very powerful.

These guns were sold under many different brand names: Diana, RWS, Hy-Score, Geco, Gecado, Original, and others (!). Beeman sold the model 27 for a while, but never the smaller models 23 or 25.

Also, the pre-war German guns were made after the war for a time, by Milbro in Scotland. The Milbro 23 and 25 were imported by Daisy, but never Beeman (there's no such thing as a "Beeman 23"). Again, this one looks like the revised post-war German version to me.

Looks like a B1.

WELL...I take back all I said above. It DOES look more like a B1 (Chinese made) than an old Diana. Not worth a lot of money if so.

Sorry for the mis-direction.

Totally a B1.
