New to the forums, but not exactly new to airguns. I've been into airguns for almost as long as I've been into powder burners (~30 years!), but haven't kept up with the recent advances, like new PCP's, big bores, etc... Those look FUN!
My interest level has varied in airguns over the years. I started out young with a smooth bore Crosman BB rifle and eventually got a Crosman 1377. My dad has a Daisy 747 that I always enjoyed (but couldn't remember the model) so I ended up with a 717. There have been a few others here and there, including a spring rifle that I hated and took back within a week.
Currently I participate in an informal .22 bullseye league (25 yards with corrected targets for slow fire) with a Browning Buck Mark 5.5 Target that sports Karl Nill grips and an UltraDot MatchDot. For longer ranges, I built a sub MOA (@100 yards) AR-15 that is a lot of fun, but hardly ever gets out. I like shooting paper for accuracy and general plinking, but I don't get out to practice as much as I should.
I'm starting to look back into airguns as a way to practice for the bullseye league and also as a way to improve my overall skill without commuting to the far outskirts of the city. Hopefully I can pick up some good knowledge from those in the know and maybe pass on a little of my own eventually.

Welcome to the GTA, Paperhunter. I bet you find that as you progress further into airgunning that many of the advances made over recent years will entice you almost as much or maybe even more than powder burners. Thats what a lot of the guys here say. There are so many different kinds of guns with different features that no one can know everything about everything but thats why the GTA is so great. It would be hard to find a gun that someone on here does not either own now, have owned in the past or knows someone who has. The collection of knowledge and experience is the foundation of the GTA.
So, grab a cup, pull up a chair and make yourself at home. Join right in, welcome.

Thank you all for the welcome! It looks like I picked the right airgun forum already. There are a few out there, but this one did seem to have quite the wealth of knowledgeable and friendly people.
