At dark this morning I slipped into a new forest I'd never being before, crossed arigde and found beautifull hunting grounds, so I slipped my headnet on and started to sneak around real slow, listening hard in the still quite morning i could hear porkers moving about, than all of a sudden I had a nice silverback coming my way, not enought time to get set up i had to take a 20 yards shot offhand standing up,....and that was it for the critter, the 707 ULTRA put the 70gr roundball in the forehead and the lights where out

not bad shot placement considering the offhand and the moving target

Nice shooting there!

That's a very nice shot placement shooting off-hand! Nice pics!
That's a lot of meat there. Is it as tender as a domesticated pig? How far do you have to go to find them? I am curious how deep the 70gr ball went into the skull from 20yds out. Do you have any idea?
-
Nice shot Manny. Are you going to smoke the meat?
-
Thanks guys, the pig is at the restaurant I work in getting ready to be made into a special of the day :)
wild pigs are 95% fat free totally different than the domasticate kind, meat is real dark,...I have no idea how far the ball whent in,I guess far enought :) ..sorry :)
Man the packing out was a mission, thank god I wasn't too deep into the mountains

Very nice shooting. Those things never seem to stop moving, a precise and quick shot. Well done.
-
Outstanding shooting and pic's Nomadic Pirate we have a ever growing problem with wild hog's up north of me and I'm always hoping to be up there at the cabin and have one wander in. Ed

Thats impressive and thats one nice airgun sweet
-
Very nice! Those foreheads are thick stuff, too. Quite the accomplishment for an airgunner.
This is inspirational for me to get the dang Dragon up and running.

Has your Mamba been tuned at all? I have a career 202s and I am planning on using it for hog hunting this winter and was wondering if I need to get it tuned. It pushes 80 grain around 845 fps. Oh by the way that is one *(&^ of a shot and good pig!!!
-
Outstanding. Now that is some fine looking barbeque layin right there :)

-
Yet more non-native game eradication, plus a freezer full of pork chops to show for it.
Good move!

What an incredible hunting scenario you have laid out around you.. sorry you have all the invasive species to deal with but looks like it works out for you pretty good. I could spend a week hiding in the bushes and wouldn't even see an english starling... it's not fair. :'( Thanks for the post, always like seeing what you've done this week.. :) J

No the 707 is stock, those old ones can shoot the 70gr roundball at 1000 fps, the good thing with the 202 is that you can power it up quite a bit and use much heavyer rounds, a really good hunting rifle there
Thanks everyone :) :)

I hoping to send my 202 to BGMF here pretty soon. At least now I know if I do my part the 202 is able to kill a large pig even without the tune.
