Hi guys I hope someone who has this same rifle can help its an hatsan striker edge. 22 and the person who had the rifle before me has filed the barrel down, too get the original sights off the barrel is now damaged with flats on the the barrel from filing. So i want too get someone with the same rifle some measurements. If so I'm looking too find out the end of the barrel in dimensions from the end tip then up 5 inches has the barrel tapers.. So best way to measure is with a plain paper strip run round the barrel and measure, do that 3 times back up the barrel 5 inches. The 3 measurements will tell me the dimensions in 3 spots I then should end up with the taper dimensions. I then could make 3 metal rings in the 3 diameters of your barrel . So I then can file it down to the rings and get the perfect diameter of the barrel. All be in well with your help.

Moved to the Turkish Gate.

Hi Jerry if you have this rifle could you please do the 3 measurements at the end of the barrel please thankyou.

If I'm reading right, the prior owner filed/cut just the fiber optic sight off the muzzle break and left flat spots on the break so the measurements you want are front, middle and end of the muzzlebreak?? Or did the prior owner take the muzzlebreak completely off the rifle??
I have a couple I can measure, just need to know if that's what you're looking for.

Hi Steve yes the previous owner completely took the muzzle break of the rifle but Instead of taking it 9f properly he had ground it off. I can never understand why people do mods in this way if they cannot do it correctly. All he would of had to do is too know it off with rubber mallet. So now I'm going to sort it out for aesthetics for myself. I only paid £25 for it so doing it up like I did with my weihrauch hw77 should turn out nice some pics below. Thats why I'm after the measurements so I can sand and file the barrel down to the same type of taper.

I have been sanding it slightly too take most the flats off. But want to get the dimensions right.

Mine have the breaks still on them so best I can do is barrel diameter and that's 16mm. The muzzle break itself goes from 20mm on the inside end to 22mm in the middle to 24mm at the barrel end and is 7 1/2 inches long.
Don't quote me on it but pretty sure I've seen Hatsan original breaks for them if you want original or Air Venturi has a few aftermarket slip on breaks that attach with grub screws as long as you know barrel size and they come with spacers should you need them.
Hope this helps.

Hi Steve yes no muzzle break so I persume its just above the muzzle break 32 1/2cm length of this barrel tell me the length of your barrel then I will no if any had been chopped off has well. But if same length measure from the break 3 measurments 1 1/2 " apart i then should be able too calculate the taper from there has they are normally 11° degree down too 0° at the muzzle.

Also much appreciated for the measurements so if you could tell me if any has been chopped of that would be great thanks

My barrels have not been chopped, they're factory original. Hatsan says 16 1/2 inches from breech to muzzle which is what I get for a measurement. From barrel block to muzzle is 12 5/8ths inches. Pics of both are below and the rifle is my Hatsan Edge .25 cal springer.
You have me confused on what you mean by taper of the barrel, so explain what you're meaning by that if you would. The barrel OD is 16mm for it's entire length and that muzzle break is made to be a slide fit and epoxies in place. There may also be 2 ridged sections in the barrel that are pressed in there to hold that break when it's installed.

Hi Steve thanks for the reply and your added help. So there hasn't been anything been cut of my barrel then which is a good thing. The reason I thought there was a slight taper too the barrel is that who ever took the plastic muzzle break and front sight off had done it either with a grinder. So looking down the barrel it looks has if there is a slight taper. So that's good news due to not having to work the taper out. So thanks I will just need to carry on hand sanding till I get all the grinder marks out off the barrel. So thankyou so much for your time and help much appreciated my friend.
