Title: 392 synthetic stock billet lever
Post by: Psipumper on February 07, 2021, 07:08:14 PM
I had some difficulties but was able to fit these on the 392s. The levers come drilled with two patterns but neither lined up . I had to press fit a plug in one hole then drilled and tapped 6/32 holes in the correct locations.
The back spine of the lever is cut away on a radius and needed to be built up for support. I welded a piece to the handle and milled it so it was flat with the rest.
I also added .015” tape to the sides to better center the handle.
Good start on a pair of high tech pumpers.

Charles,

Do you think the plastic stock guns are strong enough to be steroid guns?

I’m thinking if the synthetic forearms are strong enough... maybe 39xs will be clearanced when the 362 comes online?

Thank you.

Sam, The plastic is as strong or stronger than wood. Since it is two inches longer than the wood version forearm , it may be better since it provides more leverage.
I don’t care for the extra width and shape though.
Once the molds are built it’s done for Crosman. I would weld the main stock mold up and make a new forearm mold to get rid of the bulge . Something slender like the 362.
