No charge, a give away to him because he took in my HW50 .22 and worked with it alone for himself posting his targets righteously and honestly here.
Let's see what he does with a real springer in HW95 instead of the midway rifle (HW50).
I know he can show targets and honest reports.
He'll get it as soon as I mail it free to him.
I have other rifles ready to let go of without compensation because I have ended it with the 98 for my self for all time in my life and the next lives after me.
These 98s will eventually become Lt. Dan's next desire.
Let's see if this is so!
I won't be "sending" or "giving" any 98 of mine, but if the forum is willing to fund Lt. Dan for a real HW98 I am all for it.
And the HOF winner to me is still my friend, Hector.
He helped me the most amidst all travels and experiences with a D54 .20 He owns which made me rethink sidelever. Especially since it is recoilless. I can hold Hector's rifle tight or loose offhand and where the Traditions China Scope is aiming it is true every time.
It makes one rethink scopes to put on top of springers and how they are saved to shoot straight.
So do the 98s I have with their different scopes and alignments through the adjustable stock the 98 has to PERFECT my offhand hold.
So now Lt Dan you have another rifle to report on!

I have a brand new 1-5x24mm scope that I had to take off my HW45 because it kept moving forward, so if you have an HW30s or R7 to give away, it would be a great candidate for this low power compact scope.
I am now just shooting it open sights.

Even if I wanted to throw my hat in the ring for a free HW, you only have 2 I'd consider. HW80 .20 would be the first because I have a big like for the caliber and 22,000+ pellets on hand to use in it.
The other is totally out of curiousity and would be the HW95 in .25. I considered one 4 years ago when I bought the HW95 .22 I do own and I did because while .25 sounded interesting, everything I read said the power plant just didn't have enough ^&* to shoot anything but the lightest pellets so if I did, I better hope the Predator GTO's or FTT's shot well. Other reason is I have something you don't: a chrony. The numbers I'd end up posting would likely get lost in the back pages of the German Gate since in 5 years here, you're the only person I've ever seen that bought the caliber, but anyone looking in the future would have real world numbers on what they could expect if they were actually considering buying one.

I'm speechless. I promise to do you proud. Thanks again my brother. The HW50 is beginning to come around and produce some tight groups. Well tight for me. These are what I got today at 25 yds.

Yes I'm pumped, and thanks guys but I do not deserve his generosity. He is one of a kind. I think we could all learn a lesson in unconditional giving from John.
And on top of that SteveP-52 is sending me some .22 AA Falcons to try in my HW50.

Very nice gift, however couldn't this thread just be a private message between the two guys (the giver and the receiver) and that way the german springer gate can focus on the purpose of the gate?

While very generous of fwbsport to do what he is, do it privately and let the receiver when they're ready, start a thread here like Dan has on the gifted rifle received and while I mentioned 2 in my post above, I'd have to politely decline.

Thanks guys. My airgun journey started with a Crosman Genesis NP and it was an eye opening experience. I grew up shooting powderburners and was a quite a decent shot with both with rimfire and centerfire rifles and handguns.
With that said, I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with that Crosman. I had to learn the peculiarities of airgun shooting. After a while and a GRT III trigger replacement I began reducing my groups. I started purchasing low end refurbished air rifles and making modifications to their horrible trigger and twangy powerplants with the help of many on GTA.
Determined to remain a springer guy I gradually climbed the steps of airgunning gradually increasing in better and higer quality guns. I was introduced into the world of clones by SteveP-52 by receiving a MM tuned Xs-25 as a gift. I continued to grow in the sport purchasing still better quality airguns through the closeout and discounts sales from Umarex and others the latest a RWS460. It has been a great journey and then the unthinkable happened. A dream come true, my ultimate goal.
John (fwbsport) introduced me into the realm, in my opinion, of the highest quality springer made... the Weihrauch line. It's as if he knew the steps I needed to take next in my journey forward. From his generous heart he gifted me a HW50 .22, perfection in this old country guy's eyes. And now again with the HW95. I feel I have now reached the summit. Now to take a deep breath and enjoy the view.

I smell airgun socialism here !! Just sayin !! LOL. Personally I love the idea of giving away airguns !! Don't pay me no mind.. I am just still perturbed I got no free lunch in grade school !!! BWHAAAAAAAAA
