I'm out plinking with my Co2 converted Talon at around 6:45 am and from in back of the old house I was shooting at a pack of yotes starts to yell, and yell and yell they did. I have lived and hunted in the desert areas all my life but I have never have heard such a commotion !!!
The only airgun I had was my Co2 .22 cal Talon, I'm thinking if I should bring my .357 Bulldog along for the ride tomorrow morning also ? ------ I have my Condors, but big to carry around.
I'll be getting a TalonP with a Maddog stock on Thursday I will be setting her up to shoot JSB Exact King Heavies in the 750 fps range ----- around 40+ fpe. I figure that will be the perfect yote gun to around the 50yard range. I have a Donny FL Tatsu moderator coming Monday for her also ;- )
Looks like I'm getting this carry set up just in time ;- )

William, sounds like you are getting the perfect rig to put a hurting on some yotes! Good luck on your hunts!

Talons and Condors too big for carry? I would have never guessed that. I have considered both for nothing other than the lighter weight, sleek, trim, pure function. Mmmm?

My Condors are basically bench type guns, the two Talons are carry guns for sure, but they are not guns that I would use on yotes ---- but my Career's are and I forgot about them :-)

something like a Sumatra would do in a yote just fine...... ;)

Got my TalonP in yesterday and its shooting JSB Exact King heavies at 730fps ...~40fpe at 6.8 on the power wheel ... perfect for my use. Still 30fpe at fifty yards for a head shot if need be --- but I think I would use Nielsens 38gr slugs for that use.
I could use my Condors, Career's or Sumatra, but the Talon is such a nice small package. It has a Donny FL Tatsu moderator on it now --- pic below.

Congrats on the Talon p its a great compact. I would dial in your dope and personally wouldn't have any ethical concerns on a headshot at the distance. Of course that is dependent on your repeatable shot placement. Those desert yotes are really lean. Although I haven't had the opportunity to get a yote in front of my talon p. I was able to access a permission on a hog farm with a rat problem and from the window of the farmers house consistently slay big rats at 65 to 78 yds.Do you have an electronic call? They are awesome

Your Talon looks bada***s with that nice moderator, but I tend to be partial to AF guns ;D
Good luck with the yote!

My Nielsen 38.5gr slugs come in on Monday. Will be interesting to see the speed I can get comfortably with enough air left for a few hour hunting trip. I think you can get close to 50 fpe with the Talon P and have ~8-10 shots on high power. I have so many options of what I want to do it will be interesting deciding. I love JSB Exact King Heavies and pushing them out at ~725+fps gives me lots of shots and good power for almost anything I see in the desert in the 45 yard ish range. If I can push the 38.5gr slugs out in the 725-750fps area, it turns this gun into short powerful 65 yard yote killer for sure, that high slug BC really makes a huge difference in downrange performance ------ decisions, decisions, decisions !
