Went on the search yesterday for a .25 and found a deal on the Diana RWS 350 Feuerkraft but in .177. Far from a 25. I have 22's I guess I can shoot a heavy round to tame this thing down, I have done some reading on the forum about this gun. But I am wanting to know just how good this gun will be. Did I MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE? Got the Walther Falcon and have no complaints. Well built and great gun. Got the Benjamin Trail and have had problems and the quality leaves something to be desired. I like the gun now that I have worked some issues out and made some mods. But I have read that the Diana RWS 350 Feuerkraft Is quit flawless. Are these guns loud? Please someone tell me what I have gotten in to. Money wise I know that I am good.
-
I have 2 of the 350 mags and love them. I think the only difference is the stocks. Once you get the hang of how to shoot them they are awesome. My recommendation is shoot the snot out of it with a heavier pellet. I use jsb 10.2 gr, then once you have it figured out and broken in look at a vortek pg2 kit for it. That will smooth it out and take it from good to great.
-
should be a better build than any of the NP rifles and the trigger is far above them even in a T05. Barrrel quality well it could go either way ....sorta a lottery sometimes ya win sometimes ya lose....cross ya fingers that ya get a good one if its 12 land you might have to spend some time to find what pellets it likes.
if this was one of the sale rifles at AOA it most likely will be 12 land ...get ready and have a selection of pellets ready to try....try some H&N ones
Thats gonna be a harder rifle to shoot in .177 its alot of power
-
Umex DEMO. Was told around 200 rounds if that much run through her. I have no ideal of the land numbers. More than likely it is the 12 lands. I am assuming that the other choice would be an 8. Sounds like this gun will be a hand full. That 's good. I like the challenge. The Falcon is a handfull as well. I expect by what i have read this will be more than the Falcon. What does the vortek pg2 consist of?
-
Never mind I did a search and found the votek site.
-
Diana didn't put many 12 land BBl's on the 350mags but their were some that did get the 12 land BBL :P
-
Why was it some did? China barrel?
-
Diana outsourced some barrels on the 34 and 350 line for awhile until they started getting some complaints! :P
-
If its truly a DEMO and not a refurb I'll bet its a 8 land one ......let us know what shows up .....which barrel will decide what pellets work best
-
I just chased the FEDX man down since I am at work and have to sign for it. What a piece of work this gun is. Gun looks like brand NEW. Not a blemish. Stock is a dark finish with much grains in it. Bluing was great. I truly believe this is a true demo. I did not have time to really look the lands over but at a glance it looked like more than 8. Barrel at the glance looked as if it had not been fired. Came with scope and the RWS solid 1 piece mount. The scope had been mounted on the gun. I could tell that by the marks on the scope where the rings were. I got a tin of the 9.3 RWS Supermag Pellets with the gun to start off with. Can't wait to try this baby out. Quality of gun looks great. I did have to break it over. Not an easy break over. It does require some effort. I think I will quit satisfied with the purchase.
-
Sounds awesome. Glad your happy so far wait till you shoot it. Its got funny power. Good luck!
-
Oh knoes another one of those horrible magnum guns... Just joking. Sounds like a nice gun. Hope you had a pellet to pop in it after breaking it open. Uncocking one of these guys is a real chore. I put the Vortek kit in my 350 clones and it really makes a difference on how easy they are to cock and they handle much better.
-
I noticed that you have chopped many of your guns. Does that help. I know that this 350 is as long as the short bus and so is my Falcon. I have chopped PB's before and had good luck with them. Some of those got chopped due to the barrel being damaged others were by choice, just too long to shoot in a hurry out of the truck window. I had a deer stand on wheels.
-
;) ;) ;) ;)WOW!!!!!! I thought the Falcon was a handful. 50 rounds with the scope and I am beat. 1ST impression:
1. HEAVY
2. LONG GUN AND HEAVY ON THE BARREL END
3. KICKS LIKE A MULE
4. SCOPE MOUNT SOLID 1 PIECE WITH LOCK DOWELS (GREAT)
5. SCOPE CLEAR
6. AFTER ZEROING IN GROUPING VERY TIGHT WITH RWS 9.3 WAD CUTTERS (ACCURATE)
7. QUAILITY GREAT
8. MADE 01-08
9. 12 LAND BARREL
10. TO5 TRIGGER (LOVE THE TRIGGER VERY LIGHT ON PULL)
11. VERY THIN STOCK
12. COULD USE DIFFERENT BUTT RECOIL PAD
13. HEAVY ON THE RECOIL OF THE GUN
Question? I noticed that the pellet seat area on the load area sets at an angle. Angle looks as if it has the pellet pointing upward. Meaning that there is more crown at the top of the barrel and little if any at the bottom. Already like the gun. Can not wait for tomorrow. Totally different than the nitro piston guns.
CORRECTION: PELLET WOULD BE POINTED DOWN DUE TO CROWN AT THE TOP AND LITTLE IF ANY ON BOTTOM. ???
-
Yep that sounds like a 350! Lol she will smooth out with time or like said above the vortek kit will really smooth it out. I like the t05 triggers also very nice compared to many others. Ive never shot the 9.3 gr cause they were wad cutters. Those are good for close range but because of the flat face tend to open up a little at long range. Would be interesting to see chrony #'s of the 9 gr range but not very many to hoose from.
Ice those elbows tonight and stretch out before tomorrows shoot! Lol
Oh and both of mine are crowned the same way.
-
Yes I have cut all my guns down. It reduces the time that the pellet lives in the gun after being set in motion. Reduces vibration and makes the gun feel more handy. For the B28/RAM removing that extra 3 inches helps reduce that forward weight a little. I do recommend break in and a tune before cutting though only to allow the spring to set a little or it will really be hard to cock. The RAM had to be cut no matter what as the crown was a mess.
Your breech port sounds about right. Seems all my clones have that same offset angled port.
-
Of course compared to the NP series triggers out of the box the T05 is a dream trigger...the newer T06 is even better
So what pellets do you have on hand? How did the pellets fit in the breech that you tried?
The breeches on all the Diana break barrels are angled so it makes the breech opening look distorted just make sure the pellet is seated fully at the 6 o clock position when loading.
Check your breech sealing put a sheet of toilet paper over the breech and shoot the rifle loaded...any leaks will blow the paper and be obvious.
-
THE only thing I've tried is the wadcutters.Went out while the pit was going and under the lights just had to fire some rounds. This gun is amazing. AT 15 yards I can make make a 5 round group cover by a dime.I do believe the gun is a demo. I did check the crown and it does look let it could use a crown job. I am not touching the gun till I shoot it a while.
-
being a demo and not a new out of box rifle or a return refurbed...basically what you have is a new rifle pulled from stock and checked over for function. After all wouldn't you check a rifle over before you used it as a demo?? if you are using it to boost sales you sure do not want to show potential customers a defective one.
I have a 34 pro version and I agree that butt pad is sorta flat on the Feuerkraft models. Get some good dome style pellets H&N and even the RWS Superdomes(but they fit sorta loose on my barrel)
-
You are right. Never thought of it that way. It's not like they don't know me. Still yet I either have good luck or no luck at all in my life.
Still yet I am impressed with the gun selling point or not. It could all go south in a heartbeat. Took me 3 trails to get a good one but the falcon was straight out of the box. Going to getsome other ammo tommow. I want heavy ammo due to my shooting quarters and I think the gun will handle them as well. If I want long range and power I feel like I can break out th Falcon. It has already proven what it can do at longer shots.

Guys , I am a bit new to the forum and the sport. Can anyone fill me in as to what a 12 lands barrel or gun is? How can you tell if you are looking at one of these less desirable guns? I own a RWS 34 with to6 trigger and was thinking of picking up a RWS Feuerkraft from Air guns of A. Is that gun on that site new or a demo? Is anyone out there from the Houston Texas area that knows of a airgunners club in the area. Thanks , Daniel Hagman

I own a Classic T06 and also a 12 land T05. The 350 is a much harder rifle to shoot well to begin with. The 12 land barrels are outsourced versus the 8 land in your T06.
The 12 land barrels can shoot IF you get lucky, they are pellet picky, and if you get a bad one nobody from retail, the importer level, in the US market will make it right. The Diana CEO issued a letter on it but it is not honored in the US market.
If you buy one and its bad you are stuck with it....suddenly the great deal on price becomes money down the toilet. My advice avoid them save up abit more and get the T06 version when they come out. Until then enjoy your T06 Classic

TOM , THANKS FOR GETTING BACK TO ME SO QUICKLY. I GUESS I NEED AN EDUCATION.....SO ITS BACK TO SCHOOL. DANIEL

Not to hijack your thread..but my buddy shoots a RWS 350 ProCompact & I'm looking at getting the RWS 350 Feurerkraft(iron sights) the Procompact is 42lb cocking (if I'm not mistaken) & the 350 Feurerkraft is 33lb cocking ? Whats the difference ?
-
no problem just trying to keep your air gunning fun. The Classic T06 you already have is a nice rifle. The 350s even when everything is good are more of a challenge to shoot well. With a questionable barrel it could turn into an exercise in frustration and turn you off to a good brand (Diana)

The compact has shorter barrel so less leverage to compress spring.....I would tell you the same wait for the T06 version the ones on markdown are hit and miss....if you get a miss its wasted money....if its your first springer the 350 can be too much while you are starting out to shoot it well.
-
So far this seems to be a good shooting gun. It is a son of a gun to break. I was looking at it last night and the length of the gun is all receiver. The thing as far as barrel does not have much barrel in length at all. If it shoots good out of the box does that mean that it passes the test on this barrel good barrel vs bad?
-
12 land barrel's are just fine. if it groups....well, it groups. it might take differnt pellets then an 8 land.
-
One of my clones (RAM) was very hard to break open. So I smoothed out the detent catch just a little with a fine file and put some moly on it. After time it became much easier to break free. You may want to look at that catch and see if you want to take it down just a micro bit.

I myself have no issues with the 12 land barrels, I have a rws 34 donning a 12 land barrel and she is stupid accurate, even more accurate than the 34 .177 with 8 lands.
Just have to find the most accurate pellet for that barrel.

Sure sounds like you beat the luck of the draw.....I would say its a shooter if it shot the first pellet you tried well. I'll bet that one will shot a number of pellets quite well maybe as many as the other barrels. You still need to find the pellets it like the best so it should only get better
Some of the 12 landers shoot great ...since it was a Demo I'll bet it was handselected out of a bunch off the shelf...to Demo for customers
....ina bit since its a good barrel I would pick up a tune kit *_* tame that shot cycle and your groups will shrink even more.
-
:o Threw soon Benjamin 10.5 HP at the thing today and it ate them up. As you know I had to re-sight but it was only the vertical. This thing will group even if your off. Gun is shooting great. Gun is still oiling the breach seal area. After resiting the scope this thing is a killer on both ends. This thing groups great even when off on scope alignment. Shot all 3 of my guns this afternoon and I hate to say this but the RWS right now is by far the most accurate of them all. It is the hardest to break and is like shooting a PB AT TIMES. RECOIL!! Got some RWS 8.5 domed to try tommow. Just thought the heavier ones would fit my backyard shooting.
-
I have found most of the Crosman/Benjamin pellets fit good and snug.....there can be alot of variation tin to tin so if this lot was bought local and at a good price I would head back and get a few more of the same lot.
What store sold the heavy HPs never found them locally here at all
-
BP Benjamin discovery 500 count. I think they were around $$16.00 They had some premiers crosmans in the same or near the same weight for arround $10.00. I have just not had any luck with there ammo inmy other guns
-
$16 a tin thats as high as the Euro pellets...actually abit higher,,,I thought you were one of the lucky ones who found a cheap locally available pellet thats shot well.
I only have two rifles both CZ made hammer forged barrels that seem to shoot anything well....every other rifle has a unique taste in pellets...there seem to be no real reason as some people use have the same model and theirs shoots the pellets that mine hates and vice versa.....think of it as treasure hunt
When you find a lot number that shoots well go back and buy a few of them
-
>:(Well I see that I got the shaft on the price. I see you can buy these for $12.00 retail and discounted to $9.99. BP is high on there pellets!!!! That's why I order them off the net. At least I got to try them and the gun really likes them. I am going to try the RWS 8.5 domed today. As for now I give the the Benjamin 10.5 and A+ IN MY GUN. I shot some more last night and the grouping was outstanding. 5 shots all touching each other. You could cover them with less than the size of a dime. This gun groups better than any of my other guns.
-
great to hear sir! with a big lead chucker like her, the heavier the pellet the better. next time you order pellets try out some RWS "ultra" mags. their a wadcutter shape but are 10.2g. they work great in my 52(also a serious lead slinger) glad to hear your 12 land gun is just fine, most are...cheers Bart

Not really they charge a premium for being able to just walk in and get them off the shelf.....I would buy at least one more tin even at that price while they still have the same days production on the shelf
-
That's the problem!! That was the last tin. Just got done shooting that gun some more. One thing I am going to have to change is the butt pad. I guess I am just WUSS. That thing beats my shoulder up with the recoil. I lost a bunch of weight for health reasons and I don't have the meat on me like I did. Lost from 245# to 160# to beat diabetes. I have been able to keep it under control without melds for all most 2 years now and have maintained my weight at around 165# to 170# as well.
-
Those guns are jackhammers no matter what you do to them! :P
-
My 350 clones don't kick near as much since i put in the vortek kit and tuned them. i hardly notice it at all.
-
Got to lookin through all my gun parts and low and behold I found a butt pad off of my Rem. 742 BDL. I have a synthetic stock that I put back on last year so I have the old stock in my stuff. The thing is nearly a perfect fit. Got it installed now and I will be testing it out. After I get a tin shot in this gun I will order the kit for it. After going through my trail and having problems I want to shot this thing stock for a while. At least I did solve the trail issues with a less than $2.00 item. That gun is dead on now or as dead on as it ever will be. It is nothing compaired with the RWS. I may later look into the compac new 350 that is shorter and has the muzzle brake in a 25.

Sounds like you luck is like mine then LOL Still you could try another source and just buy one to try them....Its definatey on the short list of pellets to shoot

That muzzle brake is trouble hard to keep it tight...and its a 12.75OZ
Its so heavy the set screws look like recoil pins on a scope mount and fit into blind holes in barrel...
I chucked mine in trash for scrap man...I do not think the 350 comes in a 25 from Diana ...but there is a Chinese clone of it and Mike Melick might have a spare barrel

How do I post pictures?

Take the pic's load them into photo bucket open up your post and then go back use the html to copy from the photo bucket go back to your post and right click your mouse where you want the pic's and post them! :P

Changing the rear butt pad does help but it still is a jackhammer. This is how this thing has performed from the beginning. Just takes me a while to settle down.
LOVIN IT!!!! GUN IS BETTER THAN THE GUNNER!!! ;D

I also got a demo 350 fuerkraft from umarex. I have put in about 1000 pellets throgh it in a few weeks. I love this gun. The recoil was very severe at first. I took it apart and found it to be dry as a bone. I lubed it up and polished the trigger sear (t05 trigger) it was very hard to cock but it has smoothed out quite a bit since I lubed it up. It is crazy accurate. It is kind of hard to control for me with the fuerkraft stock if I am not carefull is jumps out of my hand at the forend . It needs checkering badly. I tried a 350 magnum and it has a square and checkered forend and it was much easier to control. It is deadly on pests. I am nailing flying rats out to 75 yards with no problem. They fall right out of the tree with a big puff of feathers. I am using cphp and they work very well. I do get a few flyers with these but they are real cheap. I have ordered some domed rws from wally mart on line. I am sure these will work better. I am getting one hole gropus at 30 yards with cphps. Not too shabby. I do not think at this pont I am going to change the spring. It is working fine with the factory spring. I have the jm spring on my .22 34 panther. I think if I do swap it out I will order a vortek. Many of the posts I ahve read seem to favor the vortek over the jm spring. Good luck. Congrats on the 350.
-
I am quite impressed with this gun. I will be making mods later to this gun after more rounds. Don't have the heart to change the gun up since it preforms like it does. I brought the lead sled out to test the gun and was used on the last test. I am not as steady as I was in younger days. Recoil is outstanding on this gun. I have changes for this gun to make it more sound and accurate. Great gun to start off. A truely sharp shooter!!!

Would love to have you post your 'one hole' target pictures at 90 feet. I've not seen that done too often. Thanks!

Got the chance to run some of the RWS 8.5 domed THROUGH the gun. Naturally had to readjust the scope for them. It didn't seem to digest them at first but after getting things warmed up the gun shot them fairly good . I was not quite as accurate as the Benjamin's. Gun seemed louder with these.
I got me a chrony and some more different pellets coming so I can get some #s on my guns now.
I looked at the crown once again on this gun and it didn't look good enough to suit me. Bevel had some flat spots on it. I hate to do anything to this gun since it is shooting so well. BUTT, after an hour of looking I just had to clean the crown. After the crown work I took the old Q-Tip and no fibers were hanging to the lands. I went over all of the threaded connections and did find that the front forearm screws had backed out quite a bit making the stock loose. Scope front ring was loose and the scope mount screws took some tightening as well. I can see why. Also after the crown work I ran a patch thought the barrel and believe it or not the patch came out clean. So far this is the most accurate gun in the air stable. AFTER I run some more of my test of pellets that are comming I will order the Vortek Tune. I am going to run at least a good tin or 2, well that is the plan. Kind of like I was not going to bother the crown either.
-
Has any of you taken the front sight off and left it off the Feuerkraft? I had to go to a meeting today anddidn't have time to put it back on or shoot the gun. Concedering leaving it off and making me an aluminum brake. I see no and purpose for it with a scope. I'm sure the sight being gone will not affect the shooting of the gun.
-
With my 22 350 feuerkraft, cut 4 inches off the front, choked and recrowned...left the front site off for a nice scoped clean look....Den
-
I agree on the clean look. I noticed when working the crown that it seems that these guns are tighter on the barrel end than my Trail and Falcon. How do they rechoke the barrels?

I would have to defer to my tuner, John in PA....he has the special equpment to put the 'squeeze' on things....

The 8.5 gr might have been getting launched super sonic making them a little louder. I know when i had the stock spring in mine it would launch most pellets under 8.9 crow mags super sonic.
I have blue locktight on every screw and nut on my guns. They will shake them loose in a heart beat. That vortek kit will make you smile. I love mine and cant find anything bad about them. I lost a little velocity but its so smooth and still puts out right at 18 fpe with 10.2 gr jsb's.

What has anyone seen on the chrony with the 350 in the .177?

This has my 350 numbers out to 28 yds. It was cold out side, 50's and that slowed the guns down some. Its pretty cool too see that the guns loose about 30-40 fps in the cold. Due to the heavy spring tar getting thicker i guess. These numbers are also the reason i switched to the 10.2 gr in my 350 from the 8.4 gr.
-
I got me a mussel brake add on. I took all of the sights off the gun and stored them away. Brake isn't pushed all the way on I left 2" over hang. I think it took some of the sound away. Of course we all know it didn't take any of the jackhammer out of it. That thing is a handfull.
-
Can't say enough about this gun. Powerhouse AND FUN TO SHOOT. Looking at another one in the 22 cal. I want a short barrel and stock version. I will pull the trigger on one soon. Got my eyes on 1.
