We LGU owners seem to be in a class of our own.  Unlike many other guns that make the scene and a big splash, the LGU kind of held it down to a ripple.  The factory trigger may have contributed to this when the word got out about how it could generally not be brought down to target standards.

The mods began, but by that time it was a little late in the game or so it seemed.  Now the trigger issue has been well resolved once the leverage problem was discovered and worked on.

I too shoot mostly at 40 yards and I can tell you as good as your groups are, they will tighten up even more in a short time.

I agree, your groups WILL get better. Both my Motorhead tuned LGV Challenger Ultra and my WhiteFang tuned LGV Master Pro .177 will be with me forever. I shoot paintballs off golf tees @ 50 yards with both of mine……

I know I LOVE my LGU Varmint .22! I actually got it on accident. I was looking for a Parrus when they were discontinued. It’s a shame Walther’s not making springers anymore. Wish I had the funds to grab a LGU Master Pro .22 furnished in wood before the shelves are empty of them.

Back when I got my LGV MP I wished I had got in .22cal over the .177cal, but none the less I sold it, much happier with my HW95 in .22cal 8)

My Springrrrr tuned LGU Varmint .22 is a great shooter. However, I rarely shoot it anymore since going over to The Darkside.

My LGU. 22 out of the box was fantastic! After Scott tuned it, it is unbelievable.

Yeah Yoda,
I followed the LGV for years, never able to pull the trigger because of its 9lb+ weight.  I knew it would be a great gun, but felt I would likely shoot my (also) excellent Weihrauch guns much more ...

I'm the other way around. My HW97kt never really satisfied me; there's a couple things about it that I really didn't like. (those kinds of things you just don't know about a gun till you get it in your hands) The LGV offered the features that I came to look for. I realized that just after Walther stopped manufacturing them. I consider myself lucky to have found one on the used gun market. I just got back the trigger group for my LGV from having the seers polished. I don't know what a "target" trigger is like but I can't complain about the trigger now. The trigger pull is so light that I have to be careful not to pull it beyond the 2nd stage wall before I've aimed.

I own the LVG in .22 cal....sure is a sweet gun. It shoots like a custom tuned gun.

Bought it off a local guy for 95 bux. He used the gun to harvest pigeons in his backyard to feed his hawk.

I also, bought a crosman co2 pistol from him and a couple of patio end tables he made with his new welder.

Nice guy with a lot of interesting stories.

Kirk, That's kind of the only reason I sold my Walther's was the weight, other then that they were good rifles, I'm glad to see uglymike according to this thread got his rifle from OC up and running again, shooting paint balls off of golf tees @50yds is pretty impressive! 8) ;D
