Title: is my math right?
Post by: send2r on September 12, 2011, 09:31:28 PM
OK here goes   1 click on scope is 1/4 inch at 100 yds

100 yds = 300 ft shooting 22.5 ft scope is 1/2 inch high therefore  divide 300feet by 22.5feet and get 13.33 sections
take the sections and multiply by .5 inch and get 6.65 inches at 100 yds 4 clicks = 1 inch so 4 times 6.6 =26.4 clicks?

do i got it and if not what is the answer?

Correct answer, but I'd do it this way.... 100 yards = 300 feet.... Shooting distance = 22.5 ft.... Click per inch at that distance is 300/22.5 times 4 = 53.3 clicks per inch.... POI change required is 1/2" which is 0.5x53.3 = 26.7 clicks (ie 27 clicks)....

OK great bob thanks for the reply. that is a big jump  it will be  down and to the right

i guess i should go 35 clicks and back 9?  to get the least lag?
what do you think?

From what I understand, you want to start your fine tuning with the POI slightly up and right on the target and work down and left from there....
