Just stumbled across this sale on Amazon over lunch...
Crosman Premier .177 Cal 7.9gr Hollowpoints (https://www.amazon.com/Crosman-Hollow-Point-Pellets-0-177-Calibre/dp/B002DM0ZIU/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Crosman+Premier+Lead+Pellets+%28500-Count%29&qid=1604516195&sr=8-2)
Stock-up...

I just bought 15 tins from 3 local Walmarts and Meijer. Same price. A penny a shot is such a bargain. They seem to shoot identical to Premire domes.
-
seems a shame to waste hollow points on tin cans though ;D

It's only a waste if you miss... >:(

Those prices went up quick. :(

That will save members the poor amazon packing and resulting product damage.

+1 Amazon is one of a few places where you take your chances that the pellets don't arrive damaged

I personally, have never had a good experience with any of the pellets I've received from Amazon... due to this, I decided long ago that I'd never/ever/ever buy pellets (of any kind) from Amazon again...
I feel terrible that I even directed anyone to this sale...
Please accept my apologies!!!

Amazon or walmart all I see here with me is xmans pellets I've bought durring covid been pretty sad compared to xmans I bought before covid. It's like the QC at xmans went out the door and went from good groupings to they will hit the paper. I think there just filling tins to try to make store orders . Right now gamos redfires / rockets been out preforming them and holding consistent groups . I use to shoot xmans hp's in .22 near full time but not lately. (Opinion). I now just stopped buying them untill I see there quality goes back to what I was getting before vivid in there pellets ( more opinion).
Good luck. And thanks for any heads up on deals.

No apologies needed here.
I've purchased dozens of retail carded 22 cal CPHP from Amazon ($4.99-$6.24 per 500) with no shipping damage. Amazon's pellet packaging is really BAD, but the CPHP tins I received were intact due to the retail card packaging. I'll buy these from Amazon again when my stash runs low and the price drops back to (near?) normal.
My Amazon tins of 22 CPHP shoot the same as my Walmart tins... good in most of my air rifles, but NOT excellent. There are some obvious snug/loose breech fit variations (estimate 5%) in each tin that show up as velocity extremes on the chronograph and fliers on paper. I think that should be expected for mass produced pellets in this price range. Folks that expect 100% match-grade quality at penny-a-pellet pricing will be disappointed.
All my CPHP tins were produced pre-covid. It would not be a surprise to me if quality has gone down over the last year.

Agree 100%. I have only had one bad experience with Amazon shipping pellets. I order most off of Amazon as I have Prime for free shipping out here. I have had a few dented tins, but it is well worth the difference in getting gouged for shipping, IMO.
Oh thanks to the OP, I received 3 tins last week :)

x3. JSB pellets get savagely Ace Ventura’d but Crosman pellets arrive unscathed thanks to the cardboard & plastic display pack and the relatively hard alloy.

Good to hear the Crosman CPHP's have/are being received without damage... and an EXCELLENT observation on the retail card packaging being their only saving grace!!!
I've ordered H&N's, JSB's, and other brands that arrived in unprotected tins so badly dented that I had to use channel-locks to open them.
(the contents inside were not in any better condition than the tin they arrived in).

Sale price is gone. They're outrageously priced, ATM. I was getting tapeworm medicine for my cats at Amazon and thought i'd make up the price difference for free shipping w/ a couple of tins.

I was not so lucky. I ordered six tins of CPCP .22's from Amazon which arrived in a bubble wrap envelope. Three tins were dented and the pellets looked like someone was using the tins as maracas with many damaged skirts. That was the last time I bought pellets from amazon.

So just the tins or did they have the retail cardboard/blister packaging ?
I did not really look at the time of this posting but we're they sold/shipped by Amazon or a 3ed party seller?

Two tins of the .177 came last week and they were the retail package with the card. They look fine inside. I love Amazons packing. Pellets in the box and two air pillows on top. Better than nothing I guess.

Shipping from 3rd party seller may make a difference.
I had thought about that... but I haven't been brave enough to try again.
I've been burnt one to many times by pellets shipped via Prime shipping!!!
Would be interested in feedback regarding pellet shipments received via 3rd party seller/shippers...

I ordered two tins and both were in the retail card packaging but then just thrown into a really large box with nothing else it. Somehow they made it ok.

Back down to $5.99 today...

Temporarily out of stock.
They don't even have the same page anymore. They switched it to CP .22 pellets.
