Hi,Has anyone here had problems with avenger accuracy?
My rifle is shooting low,I have tried different scopes that I know are accurate but the problem follows the rifle. Also are there any baffles in the rifle like the Gauntlet?
Many Thanks

No baffles or moderator, but Hajimoto offers one- as far as shooting low, check scope mount grub screws:quite a few have come loose

No baffles but there is a barrel centralizer that goes around the barrel and keeps it centered in the shroud. Check to be sure the grub screws that are in the middle of the shroud band are snug. They will push the shroud up and the barrel with it. May raise the point of impact.

Guys, Thank you both for your replies.I have been working a lot this month and was finally able to shoot the rifle this weekend. I did find the grub screws loose on both the shroud and the barrel band.I have tightened all and am now ready to test the rifle once again. I will update this thread with the results when I do. I hope this information will help others with the same issue.
Have a Merry Griswold Christmas!

I have also had this problem, seems to shoot about 30moa low. Once the weather clears I am going to shoot without the shroud to see if that's the problem.

I was kucky with mine i guess.
With the exception of the picatiny rail the rest of the screws were tight and the gun is a tackdriver.
Hope yours will shoot well now.

Any more low shots ?

Same here. Took the scope off my .25 Marauder and put it on the .25 Avenger today. Was shooting 8”” low at 20 yards. Didn’t have enough time at lunch to tear it down, so I just turned the scope up for now.

I just wanted to reply to this since I have fixed my av avenger shooting low problem. It looks like I had a manufacturing defect lowering the point of impact. it was about 20moa low due to a flashing defect on the casting of the front picatinniny rail. I Removed it with a razor blade and the POI moved up about 20 MOA. original reply here:

Good catch Steve... mine must have not had the flash. I never had the issue.

No flashing here. But the rail mounting screws were all loose. Tightened them and problem solved. I did get to shoot it at lunch today. I got one of the curler baffles in the mail today. It really made a difference. Rocker1 is making me an LDC fot it too. Should be very quite. As I said, I got to shoot it at lunch. My boy was back testing handloads with his Creedmore. So the targets were already setup at 100. With the new baffle installed, poi changed about 1” left at 100. But it was a little windy too. But all 8 shots were within a golfball size. Not too shabby for a $300 rifle shooting 855 with JSB 34s.

My Avenger was shooting 6" low and I ran out of elevation.(hence the question above) as some on another forum were having same issue. All my screws were tight.. barrel band, picatinny rail etc...So I shimmed the rear scope ring with a piece of card stock (.014") re-zeroed and all is good. I could see no reason to remove/shim the rail and just checked: no flashing.
I will probably go get some Burris ZEE rings with inserts or re- shim with Budweiser can.. lol
