Title: QB22 and QB77 question

I recently got a QB22 and a QB77. In the picture, you can see the little part sticking up that the bolt pushes forward to cock the spring.

On the QB77, the bevel was positioned as shown. On the QB22, the bevel was forwards. Which is correct? They both seem to work fine.

Mine look a little different than yours, I don’t think it will make much difference how you put it in.

I couldn't find any pics of ones with the bevel, so I'm guessing it might have been something done when they were hand fitted in California.
