Title: Daisy 880 trigger
Post by: Matchstickshooter on October 18, 2020, 12:43:16 PM
Okay trying again...
Has anyone else tried the trigger mod of inserting a piece of plastic into the stock ,where it goes into the action?
Saw this on a YT video, and it made a big difference for me!  That little bit of plastic winds up resting against the spring.
Every time I try to post the link it messes up.

It's under Daisy 880 Trigger Mod Explained  video is about 7 min and 21 sec.

I searched "Daisy 880 Trigger Mod Explained" and it came up as the first one, 7 min 21 sec.

I could not get the direct link to the video to work either.

What did you use for the piece of plastic and what are the dimensions?  Thanks

I save old plastic credit cards/medical cards/discount cards  for cutting up as shim stock.
I just did like the guy in the video and cut a piece to fit into that stock. trial and error for length and width till it fit.
Works great, big improvement, but I don't understand why. lol

I did this mod after watching the video. Haven't had time to try it out a lot, but after a short test, I like the feel of the trigger. I just used an old credit card and trimmed it down until I thought it was a good fit, but I didn't measure it.

I did this mod last year and I love it.  Just used a piece of old credit card.
