Hi Gang...Hope I'm not posting in the wrong section..(still trying to figure this out)...Is there anyone familiar with the new chinese guns frm AEA...looking at the challenger in 30...Are there tuners who can help with accuracy...Seem to be a little sporadic from the vids I've seen..Not bad but...Accuracy (repeatable) is king in my mind...Any & all opinions are welcome...Mike

following this thread, hoping some aea owners chime in.

From the AEA site: "You can adjust to 900-950 fps with right weight pellet". This statement leads me to believe there is no adjustments? Might verify with AEA. That Terminator model looks interesting, but I am always leery of being able to get repair parts on china guns. I fix my own guns though.

Trigger....Theres a country boy in GA. who is a dealer for them...I emailed the owner..Sig...he's chinese..Got back to me in less than 1/2 an hr...All I've read from guys is if things go wrong or patrs break..There johnny on the spot with replacements..No charge most of the time from what I see...At the price point..I'm sure it's no Wildcat... But it's a third the price too...I was just wandering if there's anybody tunin these things yet...Or regs that can be retro fitted....Any Ideas???

a friend of mine has an aea , i was hoping hed chime in.. But he likes it ,a simple spring mod on the trigger and its nice. very accurate.. Theyre a lot of bang for the buck.. I dont hink anyone is making regs for them yet, theres really no aftermarket yet..Everyone that has done a real review on the AEAs has posted pretty good groups.. Its not a match grade barrel , but certainly as good as what eevryone is used to in the price range ( hatsan crosman , umarex etc ) For a 30 cal bullpup , you cannot beat the price, atleast not in the developed world. ALSO , unlike the other brands the AEAs tested are generally at or above claimed power.. His gun claims 55fpe , it was 74 fpe with heavies/. Their semi auto sub compact claims 12 fpe , it was 25 when tested..

I was very interested in their semi auto pistol with the shoulder stock, but after looking through some Youtube videos I found that this guy at least (Airgun Sentinels) was not impressed:

Yea Rob.. Ur buddy addin his 2 cents would be nice...& i hear ya about FPE...I've noticed the same from what I've seen...For the price they're very interesting...I want it for a hog gun.(30//60 lb sows)..My longest shot where i hunt wud be under 50..and 90% 20/30....VERY dense palmetto thicket..Over grown with red & swamp oaks....A little peninsula you get to by boat...Throw out some corn & its on...LOL

i think u will be fine , your not entering a benchrest comp , and if the gun shoots poorly , you can harass the guy directly.. Even if it shoots 1 inch at 50yrds, thats a pigs brain every time

Yea the Airgun Sentinel guy’s vids were correct, they DID have a lot of guns with leak issues. those vids are going on a year old now. Talk to SigShooter and Zach, and theyll tell you the same thing: those have been fixed, and most of the customers that wanted some kinda of customer service got it.

I have the AEA HP Varmint .25
Built like a tank, more accurate than I am... I did do the trigger spring mod, and stone the sear and trigger parts. That helped the heavy trigger a lot, and the more I shoot it, the more the trigger wears in, and the more I get used to it.
Im getting 67 FPE with 27gr pellets (1065 fps avg), and 74 FPE (990 avg) with the JSB King Heavies 33.9 gr. Have adjusted nothing in the power train.....
Not reg’d, and nothing commercially available yet. Ive seen one guy that did a retrofit of a reg to one of the AEA rifles. Ill have to find it and post it.

Rob & Dan....Your both correct as i see it...Like I said...I can't take a shot on hogs (where i'm talkin about any way)..past 30 ish, or haven't since the 80's..But it was with a 10/22 that was a laser at that range...and it was a proven platform, for me anyway...I guess if you compare apples to apples...Winchester Super-X 22 Long Rifle Subsonic at about 990 outa my barrel...and a.30 cal 45 gr pellet at 100 fpe..it's a toss up....Just not having the "actual" exp with PCP has got a bit of doubting/uncertainty goin on.....And Dan,,I saw those vids were sig & zack were kinda apologising about the QC problems early on....& the guy up north that quit carrying them..( I'm assuming because of that)...My piont on the reviewer was...It's cool to talk about a problem or problems.......BUT...give credit where credits due....He seemed to focus to much on the negative....But AGAIN....THANKS for the input...This is exactly the dialog I was hoping for when I posted.....BUT...DAM Rob...The accuracy/aesthetics on that wildcat sure is SWEEET....LOL...just wish it was 500 bucks....I'd have TWO of um....LMBO

Those speeds FPS are way to high for pellets 840 to 900 fps is where you want to be , slugs are a different story they seem to like the higher FPS they stay stable at high fps due to design / flight characteristics ..... if these guns had ,and adjustable reg would be way better for tuning correct fps for what you are shooting ...

Dan,
Those numbers are out-of-box. HAvent adjsuted anything. there is a way to throttle that back. Its not a reg, but there is a"flow" choke screw in the reciever block. I do want to lower those numbers a bit, as it should increase shot count too
havent tried any slugs, should order some while Im swamped and cant shoot for a bit
