A brief bio (cont.) -
I have just bought a Sheridan Blue Streak . . .
mind you, I bought the first one in 1968 & the second one in 1985 (a used 1972)
& both were stolen . . .
Now I am way over the hill (age-wise), but the third one promises to be a charm.

Questions regarding of “new” Benjamin-Sheridan hermaphrodite Blue Streak :
1.) The serial is W048822 and believe is it from 1991 ? ? ?
2.) It has a Williams peep sight & no signs of a ramp sight. I examined it closely & no signs of scratching or abrasions in barrel to remove the ramp sight. Did Sheridan provide a Williams peep sight stock & no ramp sight ? ? ?
3.) The rifle came with no hand grip. Did Sheridan discontinue the hand grip ? ? ?
4.) Do you know the original manufacturer of the stock varnish ? ? ?
5.)What advice & warnings of this (model C9) you suggest of the GTA braintrust ?
———————————————————
Otherwise the rifle is in relatively good shape except for a cleaning & oiling throughout . . .
regards,
John

Sounds like a nice rifle.
Here are my answers to your quiz.
1 Do not know. Seems like the Crosman website may have the dates for serial numbers.
2. I believe they could be ordered with the peep. But I have read it is not too hard to remove the open sights without damaging the barrel.
3. Yes.
4 No
5. Lube it and shoot it.
