The WALTHER AIR RIFLE SCOPE 1.5-4.5X32 WITH RINGS for $12.33 delivered using the discount codes is tempting.
Thank you Justin !

Thanks! Nice deal on a few tins of pellets. Appreciate the tip.
Also bought that little scope since I probably can't go wrong for about $12
If nothing else, I'll have a scope that works on a break barrel if I ever own one.

That's a good question... I measured several of the pellets that have been shooting well in my guns and found them to be right at 4.51mm so I decided to stay with what was working.
I debated sticking my neck out and trying the 4.48mm... and for the price, I should have tried a tin just to satisfy your question, as it has always been a question in the back of my head when I see pellets of different sizes!!!

Ordered the scope and cleaning rod late last night. Was wondering if anyone would be as interested and refrained from posting here. But looking at the response, it seems there is no harm posting to this gate, there will be takers no matter what :)

Folks
I have recently used code NRA2020 at Umarex USA for 20% discount,it could still apply?
-
yes, the NRA2020 code worked for me thanks!
-
The WALTHER AIR RIFLE SCOPE 1.5-4.5X32 WITH RINGS for $11.60 delivered using NRA2020(20% discount) and FREESHIP is tempting even though I do not need more scopes.
$11.60 is too cheap for a scope that Pyramyd Air once sold for $49.95.
So, I bought one.
I keep telling myself,"You cannot buy every bargain."
My wife says I have a problem. She is probably right.
-
Your wife is correct.... you do have a problem. The good thing though is that you admit it and you're also in good company with all the other airgun addicts :)
Jeff
-
Grabbed a couple scopes.... discounts still worked.
Thanks
-
Finally caved, codes still worked and wound up ordering 3 scopes. Just couldn't pass em up for $11.60 each shipped :)
Never a bad thing to have a few spare scope hanging on the shelf :)
Jeff
-
After looking at this post the last two days I finally broke down and ordered 2 of the Walter scopes and 4 tins of the 4.51. 20 % off and free shipping is just to good to pass up.

JB sir, I sent you a PM regarding my Rotek PCP order.
Thank you!
Mr. Earl, much thanks for the codes ;D
-
The scopes are indeed super cheap but I have already established myself not to buy Chinese-made optics no matter how cheap and good they are.
This is not meant as an offense to those who want one, as it is just my personal choice ;D
The Rotek looks good enough for another Clearidge in my stable ;D
-
Received my 8 tins of pellets and the lockdown 1 piece scope mount today. Nicely packed and made the trip fine :)

I'm having trouble placing an order.
And would like to know if anyone is experiencing the same issue.
Here's the problem
Every time I press the "Complete" button my credit is rejected.
The stated reason is an error in the card data
I try again and again with no success until the card is blocked "to prevent potential fraud"
By the next day the card is unblocked and I try again
Today is day 3
(And yes all data entered by me including name , billing address, card #, Exp date & CC# have been entered correctly)
I called my bank and they say that Umarex thinks the entered CC code is wrong.
Of course I'll call Umarex tomorrow, but would like to get the order done asap
That's my story & I'm stickin' to it

This happened to me 3x last night when I ordered the Walther Rotek rifle, but mine was an error with my cellphone number, as it auto-filled with the prefix 1.
I deleted the 1 and my order went through.
Have you tried typing your CC number with and without spaces?

I'm sorry to hear about the credit card auth issues. Unfortunately, there is something in the bank's system that does not align with the keystrokes. It's a common problem. Our orders are required to match exactly what the bank because we've had some fraud issues in the past. This system helped us curtail those issues. Please understand this is an online deal only. Gun techs on the phone cannot extend the discount codes or free shipping to you (sorry for that), hoping I'm not asked to turn off the discount codes or raise the prices, but likely will happen.
-
Thanks JB-Umarex
Fully understood regarding "on line only" deal.
Tomorrow I'll start by calling my bank again to see if they can identify the problem.
My call yesterday got to the weekend crew that does not have full access to the client's account.
Go figure
Let' both hope the deal will stay on until the problem is resolved.

I had the same issue but tried again without my middle initial. It went through. Made 2 diffefent purchases & had to reenter card info on both days twice.
-
JB sir, thanks for replying to my PM ;D
I am excited to receive the Walther Rotek, hopefully, within the week ;D
I have not shot my airguns in months :( ;D
-
My R 10 Match pellets came today in good packaging from Umarex.
P17 sn 19070475, 9x scope, 10 shot groups, 54 feet inside with sand bags.
The excite 7.4 grouped best, R 10 4.51 next, R 10 4.58 next and Falcon 7.33 was last.
The Crosman Cahllenger put 5 shots into 1 small ragged hole with all 4 pellets.
There is very little difference in group size between the R 10 4.51 mm and 4.48 mm in these 2 guns.
I tried to order more pellets but both the 4.51 and the 4.48 were out of stock.
The Rotek is also out of stock. I hope Rick67 got one.

Mr. Ed, please be careful when doing multiple attempts, as my debit card was charged 3x by UMAREX, lol!
My 1st 2 attempts did not go through because there was an error in my phone number, you see.
Just a heads up, sir!
I did call them and they advised my to ring my bank, which I did ;D

You'd just get 3x the good stuff

It looks as if my problem at Umarex is the direct opposite of yours
No matter how many times I try the transaction will not go through
On the phone with them today, even with the sales person's help, we could not get a transaction to work.
Even when he entered my card info himself!!!
I'll chaulk this as an exercise in patience.
FWIW I did not use profanity at all

Scope sights are very popular among airgunners because a good scope helps to achieve maximum accuracy. In fact, a scope is the number one accessory an airgunner purchases. Walther Airgun Scopes are designed for airguns and feature ASR Technology to specifically handle the recoil shock unique to an air rifle where the first kick is rearward like a firearm, followed by an additional forward kick that is unique to an airgun. Firearm scope lenses are reinforced at the front to handle the rearward kick. The lenses on a Walther Airgun Scope are additionally reinforced at the rear to handle the second (forward) kick. ASR Technology protects the scope lenses from the unique recoil of an airgun.
The Walther 1.5-4.5x32 Airgun Scope has a 1-inch tube with a Reticle 8 (R12). Comes packaged in a clam.

I ordered 3 initially... they arrived I quickly tried one of them out. I was really impressed... glass was nice and clear, scope has a heft to it like you'd expect in a quality item, turrets are clickable and accurate when it came to adjusting!!!
I had to order 3 more... and I will begin replacing some of my CenterPoint scopes.

Got FedEx shipping notice for my Rotek today but still no refund for the overcharges, lol!

The 1.5-4.5x32 scope delivered today. I am impressed for $12. The glass is clear and bright for the price. It definitely isn't light weight for it's size. The magnification adjustment is smooth and not too stiff. I adjusted the diopter in 1 turn for my eye and the reticle was clear. I then adjusted the objective lense out so that it would be parallax free at 50' on 4.5x magnification for use on a 1389 Crosman project. I was surprised to find that adjusting the magnification changed the parallax free distance significantly. For example, at 2x it had parallax error at 50' but was parallax free at roughly half of that distance. Is this common for all or most scopes?
-
It varies by scope & price. Most of my inexpensive scopes can have the parallax set at the higber magnification and still be in focus as I decrease the magnification. I never trust shown yardage on this price level scope.

Mike,
This scope doesn't have an adjustable objective with marked distances. It is "fixed" and no distance is given in the specifications. I removed the locking ring on the objective and set it at 50' on 4.5X magnification. The parallax error free distance seems to change significantly on other magnification settings and I was curious if that was true for all scopes or a hallmark of a cheaper scope. Possibly something that becomes more exaggerated when the objective is adjusted to such a short distance as I have done? I am okay with it because I can use the magnification level to eliminate parallax error at even shorter distances it seems.
Thanks.

Not sure.... don't think so.
Mine are coming from Fort Smith, AR.

Ah, Arkansas, lol!
I checked the tracking on mine and they are indeed in Arkansas ;D

Kudos on the packing Umarex.... 2 blister packs surrounded by packing paper all tidy in a box.
One will go on a 1954 Marlin 22lr and the other will go on a Mendoza RM377.
-
Hack21 said, "I removed the locking ring on the objective and set it at 50' on 4.5X magnification."
I did that also.
I marked where one of the groves was the way the scope came.
Then removed the locking ring.
Then turned the objective so the image was clearest at 54 feet and marked the new location of that same grove.
This was about 1/2 turn out.
Then put the locking ring back on making sure the objective did not move.

Eric
I received the same scope today. After looking at your response I decided to check my scope. You are correct, at the set parallax from the factory, changing the magnification did have a significant effect. . When I unscrewed the front locking ring (AO) and used a tool to change the "set parallex" to a closer one, and using the rear adjustment (with locking ring) to fine tune it, there was much less change with magnification.
If your average range will be closer to 25 yards & less, you might try this and adjust the "set parallax" to 25 yards, by loosening the ring in the front of the scope and unscrewing the front objective about 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn (just a rough guess). I used an old, cheap digital caliper to catch the slots in the ring.
The thing you loose is a crisp image at 40+ yards. I have not had time to mount the scope, so I do not know if changing the magnification will change the POI. I do know that with my old eyes and a 4.5 max I will be shooting @35 yards and less, so I'll adjust mine for that
-
One of the scopes will go on one of my Mendoza RM377. A 25 yd. gun.
I've already mounted the other on a de tuned chopper. It's a Hatsan Striker 1000s that I chopped and put in a drab green Webley VMX stock.
It's also a 25 yd. shooter. I'll have a look at the paralax adjustments when get a chance to sight them in.
-
Besides the R10 pellets I also bought the: "BIG BLAST CAP REACTIVE TARGET INFLATOR CAPS WITH AIR PUMP" for $7.99 after the NRA2020 and FREESHIP coupons.
This item includes a bike pump that on its own is worth those money.
Also the blast caps seem to be really fun.
-
My Rotek is out for delivery ;D

If you find the parallax able to be adjusted, if not too much trouble, will you please post detail regarding the process?

As described in previous replies....
You loosen the collar at the front of the scope (the outer ring). You can see the inner ring has notches as would be used for a spanner wrench. Turning that inner ring changes the parallax for different zero distances. Once you have it adjusted to meet your specific requirements, you screw the outer ring back on.
Hope this helps.

Best
Ed
For the record, UMAREX has refunded my overpayment of $720 (3 Rotek rifles instead of only 1) to my debit card ;D
Thank you, UMAREX ;D

Follow the numbered steps. Most "fixed parallax" scopes are fixed at 50 or 100 yards. Lower power scopes like 4.5 max scope for an air gun is probably set to 50 yards. Things closer can seem fuzzy. If you are going to use this scope for 25-30 yard shots and closer, it MAY benefit you to change the fixed parallax. You might also consider a drop of thread lock like "Vibra-Tite" when you reinstall the cover. This will keep it from moving around, especially on a springer.
I would not touch an expensive scope, but for less than $12.00 delivered, I have adjusted this Walther 4.5 to fit my needs. Hope this helps.

Perfect Mike.... good job.

I forgot to say that most likely you will need to turn the front ring out (counter clockwise) about 3/4 to one full turn. Pick a target and dial it in @ full magnification. Then use the rear adjustment for fine tune.
Some scopes have the front element sunk in from the cover ring. On those scopes, you will need a variable spanner to catch the groove in the ring. I have an old (cheap) harbor freight digital caliper that I use for this. When I purchased the RWS 1.7 x 20 pistol scope on sale from Umarex (thanks JB) it had a finger print on the inside of the front element. I needed the spanner to remove the element and clean it. When I replaced it, I set the parallax to 20 yards, with the rear adjustment as far out as it would go & still lock up. This gave me more than 2 x magnification & a crystal clear focus for my old eyes. Again, this was a $12.00 scope & I don't recommend any of this with expensive optics.

I think the eyepiece adjustment is used to focus the cross hairs so they will not be fuzzy.
Have I been wrong all these years?
-
Your not wrong Earl, but on both of these scopes, I have been able to back off the adjusting ring at least 1/2 way or more to gain a little bit of magnification and still have crisp cross hairs. Might just be my eyes are so bad, I can't tell the difference. I know that on the pistol scope at 20 yards I couldn't see the pellet holes on a paper plate. After I adjusted the parallax and the rear objective almost all the way out (final eye ring all the way in) I could make out the holes.

Here she is:

I did not expect her weight; she is heavy, much heavier than my AA S5 full size!
Nice Teutonic quality, as expected.
Oh, and no scuffs and scratches ;D

She is a beauty!
At a bargain price of $360 for an airgun that sells for $700 on Amazon, Pyramyd Air and Air Gun Depot.
You did good Rick67.
Have fun with it.
-
Much thanks to you, Earl sir!
-
Now that I have seen its build quality, I would not hesitate to buy one in .22 (at the same price), lol!
-
The Barra 5-25x50 scope is almost as big as the rifle, lol!
Also got this optic on sale:

Glass-etched mildot with a parallax of 10 yards to infinity.
It is true that this scope is very clear at the highest mag ;D

The picture & instructions are just what's needed to get me started
My pair of 1.5-4.5 Walthers arrive on Tuesday
I'll play with them for awhile before undertaking the task.
I do have one question.
In Step 1 in the picture
Are you saying to screw the eyepiece lens all the way in, as opposed to using it to adjust the sharpness of the retical for my eyesight?

Have not shot it yet, lol!

Both the R10 4.51 and the 4.48mm pellets are back in stock at Umarex.
I bought 4 more tins of the 4.51 mm for $22.37 delivered plus another scope for $11.60 delivered.
The discount codes NRA2020(20% off) and the FREESHIP codes both worked.
I cannot resist cheap prices.
I need professional help.
-
You're not the only 1 that needs help Earl... I keep thinking there has to be an end to my madness... but I apparently haven't reached it yet!!!
Another 12 tins ordered... brings the total to 40 tins of the RWS R10's, 6 Scopes, and miscellaneous other items... I'm a sucker for a good sale.
Those R10's have become favorites for several of my air rifles... their previous favorites have been pushed to the back of the shelf!!!
-
Couldn't resist.. grabbed 2 more of the Walther scopes. $23.20 shipped. With over 100 airguns around here I can always use scopes. ;)
One of the best features are the rings with Allen screws instead of those thumb screws that usually come bundled with inexpensive scopes.
Thanks again JB.
-
The R10-4.51mm seem to group a little better that the R10-4.48mm in my guns.
Has anyone else had similar results?
-
These sure are good scopes for $11.60. Thanks JB-Umarex.

I h@ve bought a total of 10 tins of 4.51 & 10 tins of 4.48's and 3 scopes. It's a no loose deal. The pellets are great quality to me and I'm shooting them in several different P 17's, from 415 fps up to 475 fps. Granted I'm shooting pistols at 20 yards, so not a complete review of accuracy, but they seem to do dime groups of 5 shots with a red dot or 1.7 X scope (RWS sale), with old man eyes. Cataract surgery coming up next month, yea!
The 4.48's load easier in all of my P17's, and shoot about 8-10 fps faster, and the accuracy seems the same. If I push a pellet through the 4.48's all have light scoring on the head and skirt. Not very scientific , but thats all I have. I'll try my D34 with a scope and report back.
THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! Justin for the bargins you have posted! We all appreciate it very much.

Just in case... I did pickup 5 tins of the 4.48mm's to try out!!! I shot probably 25 or 30 of these thru my Sportsman 900 and didn't notice any difference in the groupings between the 4.51mm vs. the 4.48mm
I plan on running some shot groups thru the chronograph this weekend... weather permitting!!! I'll report velocity readings when I do... it's been windy here all week, and according to the weather forecast it's going to be windy all weekend, so I wouldn't make any judgements based on shot groups taken.
-
Thanks OP for the tip, I ordered 12 tin of R-10 4.51mm , shoot excellent out of my 1377, Fusion 1 , Gamo tac ( got it from my kids ) all those are shooting around 600 fps and Gamo tac about 490 fps , good group at 20 yards (1/2-3/4 inch)

My 3rd and 4th scopes showed up Saturday. Packed just as good as the first two.
Thanks again JB

Umarex does know how to pack them right, Bill sir ;D
Was surprised that they sent me 2 separate packages, which I ordered at the same time: the Rotek PCP and the .22 single shot tray for the Gauntlet/MROD.
They arrived 4 days apart ;D
Btw, the Gauntlet/MROD single shot tray works on the PROD but I did sand/lap the bottom, placing sandpaper on the marble table, and slowly debriding it, as it is proud by about half a millimeter or so.
I know EBAY sells PROD single shot trays but I never did like the looks of 3D-printed materials.
They are just plain UGLY I never could and would understand why people use them even on expensive airguns; e.g., barrel bands and rails--plain YUCKY and UGLY!
::) ;D

Hello..I saw your mention of the discounts at UmerexUSA..This is my first posting ever. So, I went only online and purchased a Walther-1250-dominator-ft-177
combo with a Walther Field Target scope 8-32×56 massive scope for $349.00 No tax and no shipping. That is a great deal..the scope alone I believe is worth about $200.00. This is my first gun into the PCP market. So, I wanted to say Thank You for the post!! Now I will need a tank.. Thank you again!!

The 1.5-4.5x32 scopes work good. I bought 2.
I think the adjustment clicks are about 1/2 inch at 100 yards not 1/4 inch.
The objective lens is easy to adjust for parallax.
I adjusted mine to 18 yards for my inside range. This took about 1/4 turn out.
The factory setting must be for 25 or 30 yards which will work OK.

It's good to learn that the objective lens adjusts easily.
On one of mine parallax appears to be set at 35yds, and starts to lose the fine edge 5-8 yards above & below that.
Verified by rangefinder.
Perhaps they are all different.
I also bought a pair but have not checked out the other one's setting yet

Well, I had to order a 3rd 1.5-4.5x32 scope at $11.60 delivered after NRA2020 and FREESHIP discounts.
They are good scopes and so cheap.
I have one break barrel without a scope.
I see they have some more R10 pellets in stock for $5.59 per 500.
-
The 1.5-4.5 scope is a great fit for my pp750. Reticle is a bit different but usable.
-
The 1.5-4.5x32 scope fits the P-17 nicely but a special hold is required to keep the eyepiece 3 inches from your eye.
Grasp the eye piece of the scope with 4 fingers.
Stick your thumb back under your nose and against your upper lip.
This steadies your hold and keeps the eye piece 3 inches from your eye.
-
and your target is much easier to hit because it's too busy laughing at you to run.

YES, the hold does look funny.
BUT, it works better for me than the standard 2 hand hold.
I need all the help I can get to hold a pistol steady.
