Hey guys.
Can anybody tell me the best way to wash your pellets, and does it make a difference.

I think it makes a little better froup with my Titan GP.
I put a little dish soap in a plastic sports drink bottle with the pellets and hot water
and gently roll the bottle around. The ridges in the bottle agitate well enough.
Then pour them into a soup can with small holes poked in the bottom to rinse.
I also use the oven to dry them at 250f for 10 minutes then a very quick shot
of pledge. Leaves the fingers clean after a day of shooting too.

I do it pretty much the same way but I use a tupperware container and wire strainer. Then soak in alcohol, set out on a towel to dry or use hair dryer. Then dump in a ziplock with a squirt of Krytech chain lube. And it really does help with the black fingers and grouping.

Half a tin with a heavy squirt of dish soap, very hot water, close lid an swirl around for a bit, let sit for a minute then rinse well using a wire strainer like Mike, dry them in the sun spread on a towel(if hot out) or a toaster oven on foil in winter(yes, it's all it's used for), I have used a bunch of lubes but finally just started using Krytec(White Lightning) for all of them, they go back in tin with 3 or 4 drop's,lid on an again just swirl for a minute to coat them even, take lid off an let air dry. "IT" seem's to help with acc., but if nothing else my finger's stay cleaner an bore cleaning is much faster, you will be amazed at the lead dust an swarf(?) that are washed out in the process that would of been sent down your bore otherwise.

I use the mildest soap I can find, the wire strainer to rinse/drain, sun dry. Gonna have to try the ziplock...sounds good for even lube distribution without banging the pellets around which has always concerned me. I thinks it's Mr. Pelletier who says you don't have to lube them all...i'm skeptical about that...hard for me to believe lubed pellets are going to shoot the same as unlubed...guess i'll have to do a comparison test...someday when i'm really bored. New CPHPs leave my fingers the dirtiest.

Dish soap here too, than lube with Ballistol, I don't have any technical data, but I'm becoming a fan of lubed pellets :)

If you are using a high grade pellet like JSB, RWS or H&N, do you still wash before lubing? I shoot mainly JSB and have been just putting a few drops of pellet lube in the lid of my tin then rolling the pellets till they have a light coating of lube. Just curious if washing is a big help in prepping the pellet.

Yes I still wash them. Found they are just as dirty but just a lighter color to the particles.

I use to not thinking they were pretty clean, but after lubing a couple of time's I started to notice a black residue would form in the tin's bottom, so now ALL pellet's get a good washing an drying.

Anyone try graphite as a pellet lube? ;)

I washed my pellets and used White Lightning Epic Ride lube ,how much should I use I put about 10 drops in a ziploc bag and it is not even oily feeling ,is this normal?

lampy, graphite is what washes off the pellets along with the lead dust, graphite is used in the manufacturing process to keep the lead from sticking in the presses, a washed and lubed pellet cuts down the fouling in the barrel, :P

mcc1961, yep that's about right. The stuff dries to a semi-solid wax and you can hardly feel it at all.
