Title: American Black walnut slug
Post by: Sammi1968 on September 19, 2020, 06:12:58 PM
I came across a hunk of an  american black walnut tree that's been preserved by its owner for about 40 years.  I imagine you could slice it up and get 4 or 5 good blanks out of it.  I'm no wood worker but is it an investment i should be looking to make? The owner originally planned to make a pc of furniture out of it but it's been sitting for along time and he's to old to do anything with it. It's still in tree form maybe 4-1/2' long by 30" I'm guessing. Just from the outside it looks highly figured.

 Thoughts?
