Post by: Septicdeath on September 10, 2020, 08:16:09 PM
I'm looking to rebuild a old Hy score 801. Does anyone know where I can get parts?
It is the German one not the Belgian

The Hyscore 801  is in reality a Diana 25. I have a 1971 Diana 27S, that was originally leather sealed, and the 801/25 predates that, so it's most probably a leather piston seal. What parts are you looking for?

Chamber  end cap, stock screws, breach block screws, set screws. Front trigger guard screw.

I talked to Roadworthy. He told me where the date stamp on this gun was. Checked the entire gun with my optivisors  there is no dare markings.  But from the looks of the rear sight I think it might be a older model???

Removed  the surface rust and will refinish the metal at a later date.
The barrel is in excellent  condition. Cleaned no pitting. Just finished installing a leather seal I made. The chamber and piston was surprisingly clean. Ran some fine steal wool on my flex shaft  into the chamber no rust flashlight showed nice and shiny.

Put it back together. The trigger needs some work but will do it later. Since I will be tearing it apart again soon.

Hopefully  have  located the parts I need. Will know next week when my package arrives.

My 1947 Hy Score has been tore down. The stock refinished and parts wire brushed cleaned and re-blued. So far its looking pretty good. Have everything I need to finish it except  stock screws. Will get them at hardware store.

Looking new. Before and after pics.

I am finally finished restoring my Hy Score 801.  It turned out good. What do you think. There is something special about taking a gun from the graveyard and giving it new life. The gun cocks buttery smooth and the trigger has a very light pull. there is hardly any recoil, due to it being a low power youth Springer. ,  Useing Crossman premier pellets. These averaged 417 f.p.s. and ranged from 414 to 422. Will be shooting it to test accuracy soon.

Looks to be well worth the effort.
